Hey, I really appreciate you guys trying to help. I looked at autotech355's store on eBay and couldn't find a 48mm piston??? Darn, John, it's a 12mm pin. :censored: I'll probably get the original TP piston. Robert is loaning me his ball hone. I'm going to hack the cylinder spigot a bit to help flow to the boost ports.

Well I finally found a 48mm piston branded DR and identical to that of my T.P. kit. I've ordered it from: www.treatland.tv/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=DR-48mm-scooter-pistonAlso ordered this: (bunches of needles in this one) www.treatland.tv/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=needle-bearing-12x15x15Been prepping for metallic green paint. Had to rebuild handlebar fairing. A complete piece was replaced (welded in) on the bottom with a plastic section from another scooter. Also the raised brake reservoir surround had broken away and was just floating around. There were a couple of other cracks also. I welded it all up with a soldering gun, backed it up with fiberglass matte, Bondoed the outside and finished it for painting. Prepped piece: (doesn't everyone keep old cylinders by their cpu?) Replaced this entire underneath corner including lip. Fiberglass matte backup: Hard to see these backed up areas: It's been so hot here the last few weeks and I've had trouble making myself get out and work on it. I'm trying to force myself to at least do something everyday. Bodywork and painting is a drag for me. But I think it's going to look really good. :thumb:

You do excellent work. :thumb: Forgive me if you've mentioned this, but are you going to paint the wheels a different color?

I really don't want to paint my wheels. Jason gave me a silver frt. wheel and I had a chance to buy a set about three weeks ago but the guy never got back to me when I asked to buy just the rear one. Red wheels will look like shit with the emerald paint so I'm still tryin' to find a silver rear one.

Autozone and Advance sell some good silver wheel paint that holds up well.. I will definitely keep that in mind. I suppose they can always be touched up after tire changing and normal pecks.

If you wanna do some more time intensive work you could strip and polish the stock wheels. Sounds good on paper. Many hours in with one wheel part done it probably wouldn't seem like such a good idea.

There must be a stripper that will even remove powder paint. I've thought about this on my engine case.

Parts I got from TreatsTV: 48mm pist. w/rings, Malossi racing gudgeon bearing w/14 rollers (on pin),vivid yellow grips, :dunno: , Small Piaggio sticker, other stickers are just standard freebies. Speedo is item obtained through eBay a while back (lens knackered on original by me drilling digital tach control access holes) Emerald metallic on fairing under seat.... not to happy with the color rendering here. Okay. Why did I hack a huge hole in the right side? That's a map pocket for Roads of Arkansas map book. Handy access.
