Over range could be different though because of differences in the cases? Not sure about the OR's.

Just looked up the Malossi OR and they are different part numbers. Could that be because of different belt's?

Malossi 2005 OR (just variator) is same part number for both scoots (5112800)

The differences between the (complete kits) is the belt. The rest is interchangeable.

Thank you spaz12 for comparing and checking. I was more looking at Variators only, something that uses 16x13 rollers maybe. Not sure about OR Variators like the Polini Evo or Malossi or Stage6 I am worry that getting one of those might need a longer belt (OR belt) then I have right now and that is what I want to avoid. Something better then stock but lower then OR not sure yet. The OR kits are out of story since the rear pulley won't fit the case and on top of that I would need to change the clutch from a 105mm to a 107mm.

Actually I didn't check to see if the rear pulley was the same. I didn't see one and honestly didn't look hard. Probably not. Anyway, now you know you can order a variator that fits on an Aerox, which is popular and probably has more choices shown.

The 2005 overrange for the shortcase Yamaha is different than the longcase. Belt is one and the rear td is a different part number. The td is a few mm smaller od than the longcase version. Had one in my hand by mistake. I measured it but didn't wright it down but it was smaller

I started thinking that it might be a different TD. I thought I remembered you or someone else talking about them in another thread.

Ya I had the shortcase kit by mistake. Don't quote me but I think the shortcase td was 126 instead of 128. Might have been 124 can't remember and I didn't record it

Yesterday I received a package. Sometimes I order multiple stuff at the same time so I don't always know what arrived. I was pretty sure that my treatland carb stuff arrived but then again why would the postman deliver the package to my wife and not just leave it inside the mailbox? When I saw the package I knew that is not carb stuff... A very big THANK YOU to spaz12 for this fantastic charity present. I am very much looking forward to test the cylinder and compare it to my current Polini Sport. Again thank you so much for this!

I just hope that it works and that you might get a few months riding out of it.

I am very confident that it will run. I am not pushing the BBKs to their limits. City driving does not always allow fast speeds on the streets but I can imagine that it will pack a good punch at the bottom and hopefully give me a quick take off and acceleration. I will keep you updated ...once the day comes where this beast gets installed and tested.

Even though it is freezing cold (around 35F) I did some CVT tuning today. Some advice, don't get any carb or parts cleaner on your bare hand in such cold weather it hurts like a . The current Variator I am using is this one which I had always a hard time with to tune right. I had speed and power drop at mid-range and also rpm drops through out all ranges. Then spaz12 recommended a torque driver with straight grooves to fix the speed and power drop at mid-range and he also said I should lighten the rollers to get the rpms up. That is what I did today. First I went a bit extreme and installed only 3 roller weights 3x7g and the Scoot revved up high but it started like a rocket. Rpms were a bit too high so I went finally with a 3x3.5g + 3x5g setting (total: 25.5g) and it is perfect. I also added one additional 1mm washer to get the belt down and now the belt alignment is perfect. I drew lines with a marker on the variator and went for a quick spin. The lines are completely gone! From bottom to top nothing left, not even 1mm. Perfect belt travel? I didn't had time to take any pics this time and also didn't really check for rpms and top speed since it is freezing cold to drive longer than 5min. I think this current CVT setting is probably the best I ever had on my Jog. Wonder how the Polini Evo Variator will perform and the question will be do I even need the Evo Variator now that I got a good CVT setup. Thanks once again to spaz12 for his helpful advice. I would never had figure out the torque driver to be the culprit for the power and speed loss at mid-range. Also ordered a new intake from Yamaha. Apparently the largest stock Yamaha intake that you can get. (4WX-E3555-10) Lucass2T what intake do you use for your Axis? Does it say 4WX on the rubber? I also ordered a new, larger intake for the stock airbox, the old Jog intake (3KJ) is larger than what I have now. This stuff will be installed with the new, big reed block and the new treatland parts once received.

I have a Hebo/Barikit 29mm intake. Suitable for Dellorto PHVB and (i think) PWK carbs.
But the bolts pattern is different from your 5BM engine. It's the standard (3KJ/Old jog) minarelli pattern.
