Hi Guys Sorry to hijack this conversation, wanted to let you know I bought the Yasuni Z pipe to run on the stock Jog for now. I took your advise on the Stage6 BBK and pipe revving higher the the motor would appreciate. Also bought a Malossi Multi Variator (16x13 7g, medium contra), Malossi x special belt, Polini clutch spring set, stage6 adjustable roller set (4, 4.5, 5, 5.5) Keeping it simple. I will get a Malossi sport 70 BBK later and then a 17.5mm carb after that Thanks. So no BBK for now? Don't worry about missing out a sale, they come and go. There are many sales still to come. This time it was Stage6 stuff some store might have sale on anything no matter the brand. Just apply for Newsletters at various shops or keep an eye in this forums store discounts corner, people that get those newsletters post the sale info there. You cannot imagine how many "could have been good deals" I missed but look now I got very lucky with my carb and crank. Just a week earlier a Japanese friend ordered 2x 21mm carbs at SIP and some other store and paid for each over $110 excluding shipping. If he would have waited we could have ordered 3 carbs instead. You should have seen his face when I showed him my invoice for the 21mm PHBG. lol

But it is geared to tuners that want to get the maximum out of their rides. I just want something that is slightly faster in all areas while maintaining rideabillity and reliability. So that is why i went for the Yusani Z which has better HP from lower in the rev range and a wider peak. It is also said to be good on stock 50cc bike. I red that is easier to tune the CVT rather than a pipe that has a sharper peak power at high RPM's. I will wait to see if anyone does the Malossi Sports 70 for a good price then grab it. It should match the exhaust pretty good. Then lastly a carb upgrade, I have MJ for the stock carb which will work until i am ready to upgrade... Slowly slowly Thank you

Do you know of any reviews or tests with this Athena versus others in the same range. All the review put the Polini, Malossi and Stage6 up against each other. I don't know much about the 1 or 2 ring pistons. I have just started reading up. Reliable power is what i want. Thank you

My buddy has one on his scoot and he rides 44+ miles, 5 days a week and has done it for more than 2 years. I'd say it was reliable.

If it is the first BBK for you then get an iron cast with 2 piston rings. Not sure about Stage6 but both Malossi Sport and Polini Sport have 2 rings and are iron cast cylinders. They might be not as powerful as a single ring aluminum but they are very reliable. I drive mine almost daily to work and it runs good. Later if you feel like the Sport grade BBK is not satisfying you anymore go for an aluminum single ring but you probably will have to change the crank, those kits have a higher power output then the sport kits. Read some reviews and make up your mind.

This way i can put the exhaust on with stock cylinder and card, then the sports BBK with the Yasuni Pipe and still run stock carb and finally buy a new carb. This way at every stage i get a little more performance. Hi birdman! I have absolutely no confidence that I can put the bearings all the way down on the crank. What if they should get stuck half way in? I will put the bearings into the freezer over night and then use my heat gun to heat up the case and then just drop in the bearing. Once both bearings are installed into the case I will pull in the crank with the installer tool. That is the plan thus far. I just hope that I don't have to wack the crank with a mullet at the end. If it gets stuck it, I would keep the tool handy and just quickly use the tool to pull it through. everything should be ok. When I did mine I was nervous and sweating bullets with my stomach in knots until I got done. Then when I got done I felt like I accomplished a great feat and grabbed a beer LOL

Sitting at the office bored to death right now. So I figured why not show you guys a couple of pics of what I have been doing last weekend. 06jog This is how the normal 19mm PHBG looks like installed. CVT tuning.....again. This time I think I hit the jackpot! Good take off and good top speed. Neither perfect but not bad either. IN DA HOUSE! (well, almost house, just the office.) Just received it before. I tell you if you pay for quality parts that is what you get. AU parts pre-installed, 40 slide, W7 needle, MJ92, PJ? unknown but I guess something around #50

It was shipped on March 24 and came today March 31st. So roughly 6 days. I got the Crank shipping confirmation yesterday so I guess beginning of next week? spaz12 yes scooter-attack.com I chose the cheaper DHL shipping. And yes I went back to the red panels. There is a small story behind it... When I had the blue panels on I came home from work one day and there was this kid running around the corner and screaming "Dad hurry, hurry look that is the fast red...." he stopped his sentence and was just stunned and quiet, looked at me with those big teary eyes probably shocked that it was not red but blue. That moment his father came around the corner and said what red? There is only a blue bike. So he must have felt like a liar in front of his dad. I won't forget his sad look. So i decided to prove him right next time he sees me. It looks like my red Scooter is pretty famous around my area for being loud and fast. lol An honor that I carry with pride.
