Here the plug chop. This is an old spark plug that I have been running since the 19mm PHBG so might be not too accurate. That is why I put in a new one yesterday.

That looks okay to me. Mixture ring is quite dark it seems but as long as the engine doesn't bog there's no problem.

Right now I am hanging out in my hotel room in Suzuka. We got work to do in the Honda car factory just next to the Suzuka race track. You can hear high revving machines riding the course. There is also a Honda Racing Team inside the factory area with a couple nasty looking bikes. GP kinda nasty. There is a no photo rule on the factory grounds so I cannot share anything visually.

No photo or video then it never happened... Hand drawn sketch would be acceptable. Sounds like a fun place to be.

ryan_ott lol hold on let me get a piece of paper and a pencil. I took a picture yesterday from the garage entrance when we were driving past it but the image doesn't show much. Too far away. You can see something that looks like a bike standing at the entrance but not more. They had 2 complete bikes, tons of plastics and wheels without tires on them, at least 3 engines laying around and so many tools.

Today I want to install the bearings and crank. Is it enough if I put the bearings into the regular freezer? Or must I deep-freeze them? And I should spray the bearings with WD40 before putting them into the freezer?

And I should spray the bearings with WD40 before putting them into the freezer? Freezing is freezing, depending on how long you leave them in there, and yes spray them down good with WD40. Are you gonna freeze the bearings, drop them into the cases and then heat the bearings and pull the crank into them?

Thanks OG Once the bearings are in I intend to pull the crank through the bearings with the crank installer tool. I'm also not sure how much Motoseal I should use. On both case halfs or only on one case side? I just don't wanna make any mistake and f%*$ it up.

I use the motoseal sparingly but uniformly on 1 case half, usually tapping it on with a finger, or a small brush. Clean the sealing surfaces thoroughly before putting the sealer on. It is very important to make sure the cases go together easy like butter before installing the crank. you may need to lightly sand the locating dowels to make it happen. Also use some oil on the crank where it pulls into the bearing. Take your time and you will be fine, have fun!

If it was me I'd freeze the crank and fit the (heated) bearings before it goes into the case, I can't see trying to pull it all together with the tool being any fun at all especially with trying to line up the case halves and not smear the motoseal!!

RaizerThanks but it should work all out fine with the tool. But I cancelled it for today, I have no locator pins! Just ordered them.
