The Zuma has the same setup as yours at the throttle Tsimi.

spaz12Yeah, maybe I can create a custom holder plate similar design to the stock one but with larger diameter to fit the thicker bendy thru it.

And if it works you'll now have a spare since you ordered another. Spares are nice.

And if the threads are larger than the bore where the tube goes in, maybe thread it? Oh i like that idea. That would be perfect if i could get it right. Guess it's time to grab my tools and go to work then at 8:20 am. lol

I just swapped a 17 mm carb onto a stock jog. I just chopped the old cable in half so I could get it out without taking plastics off. I looked at it first and decided it would not work, although it might have had I not had an aftermarket one ready to install!

spaz12 Love the new avatar! nelson *puttingmorefireintotheoil* I have off from Dec. 26 - Jan. 4 So more info guys... I removed the stock carb and the throttle cables without cutting it. I also didn't remove all the plastics. Just opened one side and I managed to pull it somewhat through the whole scoot without damaging anything. Good news: - the "wrong" new throttle cable bendy fits inside the throttle unit. Yes! Just need to create some sort of holding plate with a larger width. (See images below for comparison) - Dellorto Carb installed including cut intake for perfect fitting. - Thanks to the 90 degree bend adapters for the Dello the stock seat bucket fits on it without cutting out anything. Bad news: - The stock airbox won't fit on the black Dello adapter. I need 38mm the adapter lip is 40-40.5mm What would be the best approach to get this airbox on it? Should I sand down that Dello adapter lip? Will it hold in place even without it? Or should I try and build a new airbox intake? Like Brent did once in one of his tutorials. Here images for better understanding. Comparison, look at that thickness! New plate to build in similar fashion as shown in this image (yellow arrow) Problem! Diameters Dello adaptor Build new stock Intake?

Oh man not another order to place the shipping is gonna kill me for such a $3 part! If i knew that earlier i could have ordered it together with the bendies and pilot jet order. Bummer. Yeah, that adaptor looks like the one that would fit like a glove. Well i guess i'll customize the current one and see how that goes.

Take a file to the adapter and a heat gun/hair dryer to the intake. It'll fit. If all else fails then brute force prevails

10 min. with a file and 320 grid paper ...and in it goes (very, very tight it is). Sturdy little plastic that Dello adapter was. Cracks around the intake edge were there already so nothing to do with the tight fit of the adapter. Only the holding plate to do and then I hope I can get it running or at least idling.
