Thanks spaz12I will measure tonight as soon I get home. Btw. drove the Scooter with the mixture screw all the way in and I didn't like it. The metallic *ziiiing* sound is back at 1/8 to 1/2 throttle. The same I had with my stock carb. Temps also went 20F higher and the engine smell was different then usual. I turned the screw 1.5 turns out again and will keep it that way until I get the new carb parts.

Damn it the #40 Slider is currently not in stock. Found this in the Aprilia forum. Might be useful when it comes to custom cutting.

Nice find, but I read that when you change the angle you start from the lowest part and go up from there. On the 50 they didn't do that. They cut further into the slide at the base as well, which you're not supposed to do. I edited the picture:

I am very confused about this Atomizer and bushing stuff right now. According to what I read it looks like that I have a 4 stroke bushing and atomizer inside my carb. Now do i need to replace those parts with 2 stroke stuff like the C bushing and an AU atomizer instead of the AN? If yes does this stuff just fit inside the carb without grinding, filling off or anything like that? Do I even have to go through all that trouble or is it OK to leave the 4 stroke stuff inside? More confused now then I was before.... lol I still haven't placed any order so plenty of time to add a bushing and atomizer to the list if needed.

Takes a 20 ton press or the jaws of life to get the bushing out. JK, it's easy to change them

Just removed the carb and here images. Also checked the connector sizes. Vacuum: 4.5mm Fuel: 6mm Oil: 2.5mm Bushing - Not C shaped! 262AN Atomizer!

Strapped the carb back on and gonna drive with that 4T infection until I can replace the atomizer and bushing.
Just out of curiosity, what inner diameter fuel hose are you guys using on your PHBG carbs?

Just out of curiosity, what inner diameter fuel hose are you guys using on your PHBG carbs? Just the normal diameter? There are 3 sizes: Small = oil feed line, carb overflow lines. Normal = Regular fuel lines. Big= Fuel line my cr500 uses, and with my axis the line from the fueltank to the vacuum fuel valve. You need the regular size. Dunno how else to call it or what other sizes there are.

Thanks Lucass2TThe diameter for the connector is 6mm and today I bought test hoses with 6mm and 5mm diameter. The 6mm hose fits of course but I don't think it will hold well without a strong clamp around it. Then I tried the 5mm hose, very tight fit but it goes all the way in. (somehow that didn't sound correct, kinda nasty. lol ) So I am somewhere between a 5.5mm or 5mm fuel hose. That is why I was wondering what you guys use, because I can't make up my mind.

I believe mine are 3/16" tygon, so just less than 5mm.

Bought a 5mm and 4.5mm fuel hose. One for fuel and one for vacuum. The 5mm fits like a glove on the fuel connector but the 4.5mm hose is for my taste a bit too loose on the vacuum connector. Should have bought a 4mm hose for it. I haven't clamped it down yet so it might be good once tighten.
Treatland won't get the #40 slider soon enough so i'll just pull the trigger on an order without it and order it next month.
Something else, today on my way to work there was a nice, long straight road so once the light turned green I cranked it WOT and once I reached the, what I thought to be max rpm, of 9400 that thing kept going higher and higher until I reached 9800 and if I wouldn't have hit the breaks it would have gone easy to 10000rpms. How the hell is that possible? Carburetors doing? And how can I limit the max rpms? I don't want to break anything on the stock crank.

Went again to a bike parts shop and they had a Burial Jog ZR with a water cooled malossi! I'll upload pics later. Man that Scooter looked so sweet! And they had all kinds of burial pipes around and a lot parts for Jogs. Stage6 BBKs, carbs, belts, filters, shocks and, and, and...

Heavier weights, taller gears or a light throttle hand to control the revs. I don't like the heavier rollers option myself because it usually degrades the takeoff as well.

Thanks spaz12 ! Hmmm...or I just need to be careful with that throttle. It felt like there is more top speed and power there but do to small CVT/Variator I am not able to take full advantage of it, yet. But I am glad to see that I can get that high up if needed. Btw. I placed the treatland order today and if all goes good I should have parts worth $75 within 2-3 weeks. According to some people the AU atomizer is leaner then the AN and therefore I will have to up jet. Very curious to see what happens...
