190mechBut are they better than a V8 pipe? That is what I am looking for. I can feel that my V8 is cutting me out a WOT. There seems to be more but the pipe prevents me from reaching the best performance.

Hahaha,.... Yeah, maybe Brent should reduce mine also to a lightweight version. I just need to quickly go over the thread to pick up the important info to sum it up.

Um, no. I think this is the longest build thread in history. If anything, it should be made into some kind of landmark lol

Lots of the lower end pipes have screens, baffles, perforated secondary cones..I feel they are all there to quiet the PING-PING of a tuned expansion chamber(I love that sound!) more than a 'special' tuning aid..All of these devices cancel the true workings of an expansion chamber,BUT they are all a heck of a lot better than a catalytic converter style stock muffler!! Agreed, i have yet to own scoot with a decent exhaust. Next pipe is going to be the c16, i miss the ping

There seems to be more but the pipe prevents me from reaching the best performance. From a design standpoint there is no way the V8 can match a proper expansion chambers performance!!

I'm running a Next-R on my Suzuki, while I know it's a low end pipe it still gives a huge improvement over a stock pipe!

Raizer How are you? It's been a while. How's the Scooter running? How is the Next-R? Good bottom punch? How is the top speed? I was thinking of getting the Trek but the Next-R seems to be in a similar price range.

Not to try and jump in before Raizer gets back to you Tsimi, but on my 90 the next-r is pretty torquey down low with continuous acceleration all the way up to 60mph. It doesn't have that mule kick type powerband at a certain rpm. But, that's on my 54 hoca. Because of that I'm gonna try and put the next-r on my 70 this weekend. We don't have the same cylinders on our 70's but I can let you know how that goes.

That would be great, thanks. I need to make a choice between the Next-R or the Trek. Visually the Trek looks nice but it seems like no one is really using it. Few info out there. The Next-R on the other hand seems to be very popular. Tons of info out there and used on all kinds of Scooters.
