Top of the G? The side that you can't grab with the pliers? The straight part? A video tutorial would be awesome. I would consider it a christmas present from you. And after i manage to get it in do I have to cut off the part that you can hold with the pliers? Make a C from a G so to say. I only use C type clips. They can't break off and damage the engine. When theres G type clips with the kit i clip off the arm so it becomes a C typ clip. I use a small flat screwdriver to push it in...you don't need pliers.

People say that the double G types that come with the Polini kits are the worst but i had no problems with them thus far. Maybe I am running a too mild setup for it to break. Anyways I got one in but this was the easy part because the piston is not attached to the crank rod yet. The second clip is gonna be a PITA. Is the direction of the clip in the following image correct?

I have seen that video and many others. Most show a big piston (from a car? ) so it is rather easy compare to these tiny 50cc/70cc pistons. Thanks spaz12 then it is correct. Lucky I bought spare clips just in case.

I've never used a screw driver and I've never cut anything off the clips so I don't know those methods. I suppose whatever is easiest for you is what you should use. Explaining it seems twice as hard as installing it lol.

This is the double G clip, at least that is what i call them. Those came with the stock Polini kit and can be purchased at most scooter shops online. But people say those are the worst because they fail at high rpms. I never reach such high rpms though.

Man that looked easy. He uses some special tool there with some sort of magnet on it and c shaped so that he can grab and push it in. Nice!

It wouldn't be a real Christmas without new goodies. - Oil hose for the new carb. - Picking set, never know when you need it. - Motoseal, very, very hard to find here. Got lucky! - Torque wrench, 5Nm - 25Nm perfect for my BBK swap.

One engine is done! I removed the BBK, hand honed the BBK and stock cylinder. Put the new needle bearing and stock top end on the not-5BM engine. Swapped the rear wheel. Removed the 5BM engine from the stock Jog and put in the not-5BM engine with stock top end on/in it. Kicked it about 10 times and......Braaaapp,brap,brap,brap,brap.... it fired up and runs good and strong. So one is done now. Tomorrow, hopefully, I will be able to finish the 5BM engine with the BBK on it and put it back into the red Jog. And if I find time maybe even put the new 19mm carb on it too. Sorry no pics this time. I was too much concentrating to not forget a step during installation.
