nelson Did that speed run today. No down hill no up hill just a long straight flat road. As I guessed 71km/h (44mph) at 9400rpm was max. In comparison to my V8 pipe I was maxing out at 65km/h (40mph) at 9000-9200rpm. I am 100% sure if I swap the variator to my aftermarket one I can get at least another 5km/h (3mph) if not more. So the Next-R was definitely worth those 100 bucks. Thats decent but i think that thing has a LOT more in it. You getting full travel on variator? I read a great article on cvt tuning, i would post it but would have to find again. It was for atvs and i think there is a bit more time & money going into them.

nelson 70cc Polini Sport AC 19mm PHBG Tecnigas Next-R Longer belt for better travel A bit stiffer clutch springs 5000rpm engagement. CVT is stock. The stock Yamaha CVT in those last 2T generations sucks. They did maximum effort to reduce power output since all those old ladies that drive scooters here couldn't handle the power and crashed the scooters. So they declared those old setups as too dangerous and created those new shitty versions.

That's all I'm getting out my l.c conversion tsimi,40'ish and its screaming I could get to 48 mph on a stock 50cc so something isn't right on my CVT or the technigas next-r is just a shitty pipe,i got an mrp pipe that would ripp with the 50cc cylinder I'm gonna clean it up and see how it does with the 70cc,I'm disappointed in this pipe on the top speed but it has plenty torque on the takeoff even with heavy weights which surprised me

JwhoodHave you tried a different variator? I could mount the Yasuni C16.07 once and see how she would pull but then again you cannot compare an entry level pipe with a mid-race pipe. I was looking for a replacement to my V8 pipe which was good but restricted my rpms and therefore top speed. The Next-R on the other hand gives me very good bottom punch, acceleration and a tiny bit more top speed. It certainly is not a top speed oriented pipe. Like I mentioned I am confident that I can get a bit more out of it if I would swap the variator and tune my CVT a bit more. I did get around 77-78 km/h with my aftermarket variator and the V8 pipe so I guess 80km/h should be realistic with the Next-R. The Next-R was around 70 euros which is damn cheap then add another 30 for shipping and it is still cheap for what she delivers. Still I would love to get a Yasuni R07 or something like that but I got other priorities at the moment. Having 2 scooters doesn't make scooter tuning any easier, lol. Both need parts. If someone would ask me if the Next-R is a good pipe I would say "For a sport grade BBK and daily commuting yes, absolutely."

Agreed, i run that pos on my daily 90cc and will run 55 all day. Top speed is 64mph and it did not come to life until i swapped the variator. The hoca actually did better than the mhr la furiosa

Did another speed run, same road, same weather condition. Again maxed out at 71km/h. I can feel that there is more but the belt seems to have reached its max travel. Also had a couple of 4 pokes that thought they can take me. lmaof when do they learn? Its like you drive a Yaris and try to challenge a GT-R! I would understand if they did some mods to it but no bone stock! Hilarious.

I dont think you will find a drive boss for one as it would likely cost half the price of the cvt. I have seen them for 40-50$ bucks, in my opinion it is one of the best go fast goodies for the price. Cvt tuning is a huge deal, i have done a lot of reading and tuning and still feel like an amateur.

You can have the most powerful scoot in the world but if you cant get the power to the back wheel you are wasting money

The gy6 glides from partsforscooters are the closest thing. You'd have to ask 90gtvert for sure but if I remember correctly there for 50cc gy6. I've already ordered a set a couple months back for myself. They fit perfectly.
