When you start getting new members that just seem angry for no good reason and can't seem to contribute without insulting, it's a sure sign your forum is growing and reaching out there. Every successful forum attracts a few loose ones now and then. This is becoming quite the reference resource for scooters. Good job

I bought mine from them like 2 weeks ago and it does have a 20mm valve I can put up a picture if you guys want Good to hear. I guess I'll go ahead and order from them. I STILL don't have a real 20mm carb! Ebay has saved my butt on these things. Both sellers I bought from turned out to be no good even though they talked a good game before purchase. Both then tried to screw me after the sale and ignore my requests for return. I trust 02starrider. Should have ordered it from them to begin with. 02starrider is the person I bought my 20mm carb from. It's true 20mm. I get a lot of parts from that guy. Never had an issue. That's where I got my scorpion big bore valve head. High quality stuff from him.

At least.....I think it is....paranoid now. Checking it tomorrow. Never Had an issue before with him. It is NOT an issue with 02Starrider. They sell good stuff. They buy from wholesalers who tell THEM they are 20mm. Don't get mad at 02Starrider. The same way you wouldn't call a 24mm carb as a 30mm carb....you wouldn't call a 18mm carb a 20mm carb. The critical difference is in the smallest point in the venturi. An 18mm carb will have approximately a 16mm "choke point" in the venturi. Just enough of a "squeeze" to raise the velocity of the air and then lower the pressure immediately after that point as it opens back up. In a true 20mm carb, the smallest choke point in the venturi would be 18mm approximately. If you just machine the bore AFTER the venturi choke point larger, you really haven't done anything. The carburetor cannot flow more air given the same engine vacuum. In fact, you probably would raise the pressure and reduce the flow of fuel (causing a lean condition) due to a larger volume area after the same size choke point. This is exactly why many people report very hard to start after installing some of these fake 20mm carbs. Not enough vacuum to pull the fuel up. Carburetors are not haphazardly designed. It is best not to go in there machining them unless you have some very complex machinery to test the results.

Checked my carburetor yesterday. Got ripped off. 18mm butterfly valve. Bore is evident. Contacted 02starrider and asked if they measured the BUTTERFLY VALVE" and not just the inlet. "Yes we measured them. It's 20mm" he says. i measured the butterfly valve myself. 18.9mm. Not mad or anything. I just told him to make sure he was aware of this and I want a refund.
