Higher gearing and lighter sliders. And why not just get a 150cc motor to start? I've never seen looking success stories going bigger than 47mm piston. Nice project, keep posting and Welcome to the forum..

I have a few more interesting tools that I haven't taken Pics of yet. An I Can't wait to post the bling, paint, and lighting effects. The build isn't about speed it about two things: 1)If I Can build a working motor from the ground up. 2)The town I live in is filled with hills that bog down even the 47cc a little to much. Plus if I was going to Buy another Scoot I'd probably go up to a 250cc just cause of highway ability.

Had stickers on the old body panels that I am going to have to replace. An going to put stickers for every place I get parts from, especially if they are small enough. free advertising for parts dealers in south eastern CT for them. While looking over the body parts that I don't have to replace I noticed some paint fade and blemishes so going to sand out the blemishes and repaint the scoot body parts.

Had an interesting experience, when I first did my big bore kit. on the original engine. I also got the big valve cylinder head as well and the A9 Cam. what was interesting was I had to swap the valves from the old cylinder head to the new head. after I did that everything work perfectly. just remembered this and wanted to share and get feedback on if anybody else had that issue before.

Were the valves different lengths?

yeppers, the original ones were shorter than the newer. and I had the right rockers for the new cylinder head. but the longer valves just wouldn't let the engine kick over. it was weird. basically trial and error with a mechanic buddy of mine helping he was even confused we just tried swapping the valves just to rule it out and it worked.. dumb luck I guess.

all I really have to say today so far is rust-o-leum sucks. If I had to do paintwork on body panels again I will never use that product again. I went to school for collision refinishing and I have used many other paints. I have never had the experience that I am having with rust-o-leum. OMG the sag an drip run factor alone is a nightmare. okay it is my bad going for the color match hastily but this is ridiculous. god dang it the amount of sanding I am going to do to get these panels to look nice is going to take forever. I will take pix to show ya'll later of what I mean. Now I wish I had taken before shots. I will stick to krylon from now on.
