Okay slowly but surely I am getting parts to build myself a Maxxed Out 139QMB engine for my Tao Tao. The current engine is fine but a Mechanic friend of told me the only real way to learn about engines is to build one yourself. I have been upgrading my Tao Tao every time I buy Parts for the Custom build. I have been researching on every forum that I belong to for ideas, tips, instructions and part Vendors. I am currently getting the Parts for the gearbox. I already have the four pieces to the crankcase as well as the final drive gear and the up grade gears from scrappydog's. I figure one section at a time and thorough research I should do fine but any input would be great. I am planning on 44mm performance stroker crank, Performance Big Valve cylinder head assembly, and 52MM Big bore kit. The reason for the Maxxed engine isn't for speed really it is because I live in a really steep hilly town and I travel a lot around the area just enjoying the road. BUT I figure if I am going to build something may as well go all out.
Please post links to anything that might help.

ScootersToGo, ScrappyDogScooters, and Hoca all offer 44mm cranks. You can get heads from very cheap like the ones 02starrider on eBay sells to quite expensive like Hoca, NCY, Narkau, or the ScrappyDog head. Expect better quality control and machining from those more expensive ones listed. The ScrappyDog head is the only one I know of that actually has real people doing port work that I know of. They have changed who they get heads from since I've bought one though, so I'm not honestly sure what their newest are like. For the cylinder kit go with a Taiwan brand for good quality... Naraku, NCY, Hoca. Here's one thread with a member's experiences with a stroker engine : 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/8340/2011-tao-vip-87cc-swap

Yep, I have been using scrappyDog and Partforscooters ever since I got my scoot. They both offer decent parts at decent prices.

Well today I decided to do the annual PDI. First time taking the body Panels off. Can I just say "OMG" thsnks to 90GTVert's PDI videos it was easy. But Major Body Panel Damage was found From First assembly. Broken screw hole tabs, No Washers at all, All of the screws are rusted (that I expected on a 2012 scoot). So Now I have to replace many Body Panels. Which is an Expense I wasn't Expecting. But Wire Harness is good Shape. So while I am at All the other improvement and replacing Parts I am Going to upgrade my Lighting and do so minor flashy effects.
So well not Only is a engine being built Maxxed Out But So is the Original Body. Shoot at this Point May As Well go for broke. I will be posting some Pics of the damages, New parts I have, and new Tools I picked up this weekend Later on today.
