im curious what kind of speed my gy6 150 will do, its the short case engine with a final gear ratio of 9.3:1 i also checked the secondary gear and they are 13/40. ill also be using a 100/60-12 rear tire, since i ordered it thinking my stock 2 stroke rim would fit, but i miss count the splines before so im waiting a new 12" rim for the gy6. i know with the 13/40 gears and the new 12gr rollers i should have pretty good take off speed.

My all stock shortcase 150cc with 10 inches wheels was doing 86 kph GPS. That's 53.43792 mph.

thats not too bad, id prefer to stick with the 12" rim because if i ever want to spend the $120 and get the left side long case and cvt cover i dont need to buy a new rim, id just have to swap the tire from the 2 stroke onto it instead. i love the new site i found thats here in canada, it has all the parts i need for the gy6 and shipping is really quick, anywhere from 3-5 days.

iwiketuddlz, Why haven't you gone for the top speed test or whatever it's called? With that motor you should very well be at the top of that list.

He doesnt ever open that thing up tho. He must be 'fraid of the cops. However I do what it takes to hit that top speed. F*CK THE POLICE. As long as you have a full face on and they dont catch you in the act... Deny til you die!! It works trust me.

So this old geezer at my work says his 150cc taotao with fresh paint job will do 90mph bone stock... LMAO bit anyway I told him To-linE Em Up!...and I'll wax his ass with the big eVo... Anyway I'm just wondering the top speed from a stock 150cc scooter and top speed from a built 150cc thanks yuns 90 kmh = 55 mph so thats about right, he is doing like so many and reading the wrong numbers or maybe his doesnt even have MPH I have been able to get my Kymco KLH 150cc (Super 8) to go an indicated 71 mph, i dont know what this actually is, probably more like 65. Only mods are a Naraku HP Variator, stage 6 jet kit and a slipstreamer scoot 66 windshield. Its not an enjoyable ride over 60mph, its too light and suspension too stiff. I keep it at 55 and enjoy the ride.

The speedo on my 150 is off by about +2-3KPH the Vino is off by +1-2KPH. But my '89 Honda was dead on accurate. Don't know about the '88 Jog as it pegs the needle at anything over 60KPH soooo lets say it spot on as well.

i'm guessing that in scoot world, there are only handful of manus for 150cc 4t engines, right? it's not like a motorcycle where each of the manus (95%) makes their own engines... correct?
So, does this mean the average top speed for 150cc 4t is around 55mph (actual)? Does anyone know what's the fastest 150cc engine is??

Well, the stock speedo on my scooter had KMH in the big numbers so I can see how that would be confusing to some people.
My speedo never worked so the top speed was 0. Right now with the 82cc I could probably hit 50 tucked down if I had a road long enough. It hits 50 downhill pretty easily.
