I re-measured my piston and I get the same as Ryan does (+/- 0.1mm).

How many people have run a corsa on a non stroker crank? Don't all the Honda elite builders get a stroker to accommodate there corsa? Like Lucas was saying I might have to sell the corsa and go with the original plan of a MKI or MKII.

Piston was 50mm tall. 24.5 from center pin to crown. 47mm wide. Measured manually. The 24.5 was just eyeballed.

Went to O Riellys and picked up a 4 pack of 8x12" make your own gasket for $7.99. 4 sheets in different at thickness. 2 rubber cork, 1 rubber, and 1 rubber paper. I chose the rubber paper at 1 mm. I'm sure I'll have base gasket material for life now. Little bit of tracing the bent base gasket and some finessing with a razor blade around the cylinder bolts. But, gasket came out nice. Good news is it got my piston below my ports. But manually the squish is registering at right under 2mm. Once I get a new battery for my calipers I'll know more. Got the engine installed, exhaust, fresh tank of gas and wala! She's back alive. Took her down the street at around 25mph. My big body is not doing the little spree any good. Pipe doesn't hit till around 40mph. Not even plated yet and I seen a cop. So we'll know more tomorrow. Pics soon.

That self made gasket came out really good. Well done. Thank you sir. Cutting the circles with a razor blade was a little time consuming but if I had a paper hole punch it would have been a lot easier.

A 1mm gasket and the piston is still above the ports. Something is wrong. I don't know what it is but it isn't right. Are you absolutely sure that's an 80mm rod? What's the stroke?

If the piston height was 50mm from bottom to end of side wall then the piston is too tall I guess. Ryan and I measured our piston around 46.9-47mm which is 3mm shorter.

Makes sense tsimi. Sounds like he needs to order a new piston.

Have you tried mounting a pipe to the cylinder yet 'O'Verse ? Maybe John is onto something here. If it's a Kymco cylinder than the pipe shouldn't fit, I'd imagine?

spaz12He drove the engine so the piston does work. Question is does it output 100% of its capable power or is it somewhat restricted? I am sure my Polini Sport squish is over 1.6mm but it drives good and strong.

The pipe is an a Athena. Looks exactly like the non chrome pro rep. Fits right. Completely dead under 7000 rpms. Not to mention I way 260 lbs. Its like the title says.... Riding a Honda spree till the pipe kicks in then it's a minarelli. Lol! I'm gonna switch my license plate today and go for a longer stretch of road. The picture isn't clear but the piston is below my exhaust transfers. What baffles me is it wasn't below my intake port. So the piston has to be to tall. It's kinda perfect for my girl right now. She's by no means is a veteran scooter rider.
