A 1mm gasket and the piston is still above the ports. Something is wrong. I don't know what it is but it isn't right. Are you absolutely sure that's an 80mm rod? What's the stroke? 12mm Athena crankshaft. 39.2mm stroke / 80mm rod. I bet the people you bought it from swapped pistons then. I can't imagine Polini sending a kit out like that.

That may be it. But until I can find some specs on a 12mm corsa piston. I can't fork out the $100 and it just be another 50mm tall. I have a 12mm crank. And the piston is a 10mm. I'm using the stage 6 reducer. But I don't see that changing the overall distance any. So eventually I'll have to replace the piston anyway. Thanks guys. I'm thinking with enough road today it'll be close to 60mph top speed.

Well had to go and take it for a spin. Not enough road to get the pipe to hit and see what it tops out at. So I had to cheat and start down hill. Got enough oomph to hit the pipe at 7500-8000rpm on the straight away and boom. 54.64mph. But after the run on the way back home I wasn't watching my temp gauge and got a seize at 411. That's gonna leave a mark. Anyway gonna have to up jet for sure. Gears are tall so if I can find a better stretch of road I'll see what it has in it. Absolutlely fun ride. Kinda sketchy on the 10 inch spree wheels.

If you don't get that piston below the transfers (to cool the top of the piston) you are going to keep seizing it. Good thing it's an iron bore I suppose.

I've been told by one of the greats Polini runs tight clearances on their cylinders. Get a few miles on it before you rev it out.

It already has miles on it from before. I've already broken it in when it had the stock crank. The rings are already seated. I've just never changed my main right when I got it running. Yeah spaz the intake port is the only one that's still iffy. I'll re jet it tomorrow. And see. Hopefully it's not to hot.

Changed mains from a 110 to a 112 the other day. Gonna try 115 next. Attatched a new 32mm air filter. Took the next-r off my 90 and put it on the 70 for Tsimi. Don't know if he's sold yet on it. But, supprisingly it did really well on the 70cc. Still had power at 11,000 rpms. Power band was between 7,000 and 11,000. Over 5mm left on the variator still. At 52mph. So Instead of buying a C16 for the Spree. I just picked up another Next-r 100cc. Should be here in a couple. With the money that's left over that I had saved for the C16. I'll probably just grab a new hoca variator, naraku clutch, and a belt. That's 2 bikes now that the Athena sport exhaust overheated the engine. Pipe needs a bigger stinger for sure.

Tempted to run out to the garage and slap it on now. But I'm thinking be patient.... Yea, then u will have to tune it maybe be in a hurry and make a dumb mistake. I really like the hoca variators, i have tuned and tuned on my mhr on the 90 and the hoca still outperforms it.

Installed Hoca variator today with 7.5 gram rollers and longer belt. Little too heavy for my liking. Probably drop it down to 7 or 6.5 grams tomorrow. Take off was better with the Hoca variator compared to stock and Pretty smooth threw acceleration. Will try again tomorrow after work.

So I can't really say which one is the best best. But, the Hoca runs great so far. I finally chewed up the glides on my 90 not to long ago. But other than that pretty smooth.
