Speaking of needles what is a good needle for the 28mm keihin?? Part number? Anyone or specs As in ALL JETTING,no magic numbers!!I like a rich needle as most piston fries are at part throttle,a bit of a stutter before it gets on the pipe...

Mm good point, I was just going to experiment with a diff needle as mine seems a bit too rich, (partsforscooters replacement)but you got me scared lol, I ride part throttle a lot as my engine tends to take off at 9k and up, so I ride around most of the time trying to keep revs down, ya know.? and it sputters richly below 9k Thanks for the info guys..! Braaaaap Also I do have a skinnyer needle but that would only make it more rich right?? Fat needle =lean and skinny =rich ....?

Alittle update I replaced the clutch springs with the malossi blue and it's set to about 8100, lowered the weight to about 4.1 put the red spring back in and it now rips! I haven't maxed it out yet but it will go deep into the 60's with more variator left. I've got Avon AM63 tires on their way to get rid of the front end wobble. My temps are still low but that's fine with me. Do I need a longer belt to get it to the outside of the rear pulley. Front is all the way down to the drive boss. Any more spacing on the variator and it slips on the variator. I figured out my richness, it's my needle taper. This carb was for a kx100 which has a rich needle compared to the kx85 that I usually get. I'll have to order some needles but it still runs great! It doesn't look like you'd have to do anything to the cases to run an overrange. Nice Thats becouse the belt would rub the cvt cover instead of the case.

The only clearance for the rear pulley was needed. Everything else fit well.

Clutch graps at 8200, off of pipe is 9800. As soon as pipe hits it's at 12800. I've seen 13,300. It gets moving

Thanks everyone! I think it's at a good tune for now. The only thing I don't like is making a turn from a complete stop, it usually doesn't want to turn.
Spaz when are you going to build yours? Or did you in silence...

I broke my foot in June and still haven't gone back to work. Still in physical therapy. Had to go see a bone specialist last week to try and figure out why it's taking so long to heal. Anyway, what I get from the insurance company doesn't even cover my bills so I can't be buying scooter parts until I'm back to work. Hopefully in a couple weeks
