Brilliant. Brakes are relatively bled (not as much pressure as I'd like, but I'll leave it sit for a while and hope some more bubbles go to the top so they can be bled) and new disc should be here tomorrow morning.
I just realised in the jet kit I have, #100 is the smallest I was given. Should I order a new kit (carb is a 19mm PHBG clone, was supplied with a 75mm main which seems tiny) for when I go to tune it or will it most likely need +100?
I'm at sea level, normally quite hot and humid, has a Doppler S3R pipe, 70cc cylinder, go-kart airbox, etc.

Well, if you have a 40 slide and W-7 needle and because you have less air molecules (humid) but a go kart air filter, then I would say start out with a 40 Idle 95 main. Needle second from top. It'll be rich but we all know that's better and you can jet down from there. I suspect though that you won't have a 40 slide or the W-7 needle. But, if you have a 45 slide, you can work with that.

Sweet, I'll check tomorrow what's in there.
In classic Drew fashion, I just picked up 2x 125cc 4 strokes that need some electrical work for the grand total of $350. GY6 long cases, seem to be Chinese copies with no mechanical problems. No spark, but the have shitty immobiliser which I am guessing is the cause.
I'll give whichever is the cheapest a quick service and sell to make my money back, then go through the better one more thoroughly and sell it with rego/etc for a heap more.

Righto. Everything is in fitted, brakes are bled and we're all running. I noticed that there's a rattle coming from the bottom end somewhere - I can't specifically find where it is, but if I turn the fan/flywheel back and forth there's a click when I change directions. Not major, and everything turns smoothly but I have a terrible feeling that's where my problem lies.
I'm guessing that means I need new crank bearings. How big of a job is it to do myself?

It's not a huge job like a car or bike engine or something, but it takes some time, effort, and patience. I use a case separator tool to get them apart, but some use harmonic balancer/steering wheel pullers or other methods for separating the crank and cases. Getting them back together isn't too tough using the hot and cold method to expand and contract parts for easier fitment. Don't forget to have replacement seals on hand as well.

Made the decision to build up the spare case I have. That way I can ride on the engine that's on its way out, and not stress it any more with a BBK. Apart from bearings/seals, gaskets and new head studs is there anything else I will need? Also is there an easy way to strip the grime off the block?

Case sealant like ThreeBond 1184, Permatex MotoSeal or Ultra Grey, etc... Not a bad idea to have copper spray around for the head gasket or in case you end up fiddling with squish clearance with no head gasket. A pressure washer works well for me for a quick cleaning. If you don't have one, I've heard of people taking their cases to a car wash. Scrubbing with brush and degreaser works as well, but takes more effort. If you want it cleaner you can try soda blasting.
