Hey guys so i bought this scooter the other day on a whim i saw it for sale in complete bits and actually did not know the name of the bike or anything so went to view it and it was sat outside and has been for about 12 months or so judging by the body work. now lucky for me its a 2005, 18k on the clock and had surface rust on the frame so a few pics. so i am currently building this up for me and my gf to ride on i have a car but i wanted something she could learn on as well as fall off a few times. i hope she likes it as its the first time i have ever put a scooter back together which i didn't take apart. also cleaned the carb which was very clean surprisingly, just waiting for new ht lead, coil, spark plug, also i used a wire brush on a drill, cure rusted it and gave it a good 3 layers of primer, 3 layers of matt black high heat paint for protection after rubbing down and spraying and almost complete lucky for me there was no majour rust so no welding needed , can't fire to fire her up, also i hope all the parts are with her. i don't wanna buy chinese parts for her but i hear that these scooters are more reliable than some chinese bikes but as long as it works i don't mind. im gonna be doing a clutch change once i can remove the cvh cover hopefully

Welcome scootmad! I've had two of those Daelim Cordi's. Nice scoots! High quality. The real great thing is that the engine is a Honda clone- same as the Elite's! AF16 or something like that lol. (also same as Kymco ZX) It's a potent engine platform to build on. The engine of choice for the Hawaiian guys, they make those babies super fast! The exhaust on the Cordi's are very restrictive and be sure to check out the CVT- one of the Cordi's I had had 12 gram roller weights in it. Talk about de-tuned haha. Here's the build threads btw: 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/11235/flip-2006-daelim-cordi-clone49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/11457/another-daelim-cordi-honda-clone

Nice!!!!! Welcome. Trust me these damn scooters are worse than drugs. They are awesome to work on modify and to ride the hell out of (I wear a helmet so no one will know who I am.) However they can cause serious money issue loss of sleep hours of watching YouTube and a loss sense of reality that you have a scooter family on some forum with a bunch of other crazy fools that like scooters. Oh they can cause relationship problems too I would totally recomend a secret bank account and to establish another amazon and eBay account so you don't get yelled at every time you purchase new parts.

You might want to keep that Honda clone 2t Cordi and get the lil' lady a 4 poke. That there Cordi has serious potential to be a screaming beast!
