Picked up an 'ambulance' for my scooter when it dies. An '03 Chevy Venture van, 151K miles, a little rough looking and has a few problems like no AC and no working fuel gauge. I fixed the turn signals quick. It was just a bad socket contact. It looks like I can take out the seats and get some ramps. No insurance or tags yet. So much for avoiding 'Imperial Entanglements' I have numerous dial indicators and holders, V blocks etc. Just part of a lifetime of collecting tools.

I bought some parts for my 93 Ranger, two cab mount brackets and a radius arm. I also picked up a pair of ventshades for the 03 Venture so I can crack the windows and not worry about rain. I also bought a bar of Irish Spring bath soap to use as spider/bug repellent and air freshener for the Venture. I put it in a plastic dish under the seat. I bought a GY6 valve adjustment tool and a Koso Variator from TVnACMAN. Maybe I can get two or three vehicles up and running soon. It will seem like heaven after walking most of the time for the last 2-1/2 years. Old vehicles and unreliable vehicles like China scoots require backups.

I am 62 years old chronologically but all torn and messed up. My brain is damaged so severely that I have the cognitive abilities of an average 93 year old. Basically a dead man. I can't follow a verbal conversation with anyone. All my friends (except one) and my family have bailed out on me. Typing and email etc are my best communication methods and I don't do that very well. I get so very tired so quickly. If I can get the extra $$ together sometime I may get one of those dead man walking T-shirts.

Sh*t happens. We all deal with life's problems eventually.
This is suicide prevention week. I am considered 'crazy' because I have given up and tried to take my own life a couple times. I think about it every day. The psych people have names for people like me. They are not very kind. The stigma is just one more cross to bear.
My son got married over the weekend. I wasn't invited or notified. I found out through a niece and sister. I have never even seen or met the woman. My daughter got married a few years ago. I was specifically dis-invited because her mother was there. At least I knew the man she married.

Bitching and jealous, drives you nuts. We just stay away now, I like the peaceful life. You know what they say, You cant pick your family. Not all family is good FrankenMech We are glad to have you here

Thanks guys.
I don't argue or fight with my family. I wasn't some sort of asshole like Harrison Ford in 'Regarding Henry' before my injuries. That is one movie I find painful to watch. I don't have a sudden traumatic injury to point to. It was probably what they call a silent stroke now but unheard of in 93. I have had several more since then. Strokes are common in one side of my family. I have heard that the 'other' side bitches about me and badmouths me constantly. I think everyone just avoids me now because I am slow-witted, and partially deaf. I can't keep up with conversations especially with multiple people nowadays. Nobody can stand being around the 'dummy'.
I am sorry I take so long with my posts and edit them. I am terrible at posting also.

Your posts are well composed and usually full of excellent information. You seem to know intricacies of systems many of us are mostly clueless about. ...And don't feel bad, I probably take longer than a lot of people to post as well. I don't even have a good excuse. You'd think I'd have enough practice by now, but I've always been bad at live conversation beyond mundane BS.
I'm sorry to hear of your struggles, but your presence is appreciated here.
