My daughters like to shoot at the range. They shot up all my 9 and 40 ammo, which is kinda expensive. I decided to get something more economical to shoot. Glock's new 44, shoots 22 long rifle holds 10. Surprisingly loud and fun to shoot.

Hi jackrides she wants some fancy expensive helmet that don't look like a bike helmet but I pointed out it's to save yer head not what you look like going along the street. I will give you the link to the tricycle company that explains it better than me. Hope you keeping safe in these times. www.alpineelectricbikes.co.uk/products/alpine-electric-trike

How many rounds have you put through it and how many times had it jammed? Basically every .22 I’ve ever shot jams up frequently just because .22LR is such dirty ammo, so it makes me wonder how well Glock mitigates the dirt. They have a reputation for running no matter what as we know.

They have a reputation for running no matter what as we know. I have not been to the range yet, but I did put 20 rounds through it, no jams. They spent over three years in the development of the 44, mostly on the magazine. Apparently the rim on the 22 cartridges causes feed issues. They claim the mag holds only 10 rounds to assist in reliable feed. The market for the 44 is training. It is identical in size to my Glock 19 but the weight is MUCH less than the 19. That is one of the things about the 44 it is very lightweight, feels like a toy but shoots pretty good IMO. Take down is the same as any other Glock. However the slide is polymer and steel where needed, I guess that is where the major weight savings comes from.

Oh wow, yeah I guess that makes sense as to why it would only be 10 round capacity. 10 +1, I’m assuming? I was expecting much more, but with how unreliable 22 can be, I can see their story being true.
I believe that’s the first polymer slide for Glock as well?
22 has to be my favorite caliber to shoot for fun. Big rounds are fun for a few bangs and what I prefer to have on my side, but if I’m out in a field just shooting soda cans and old furniture, 22 is a lot more fun to me.
Do you have property you can shoot on or usually head to the range?

There is some property very close to me that is unincorporated into the city that I could likely get permission from the owner to shoot there, but I kinda dont want to ask him, he is a bit of an arse.

Oh man. We gotta start a firearms thread here! I've been thinking about a 22 for how cheap the ammo is. I've been looking at a browning. All the shops here in California are toooo busy with this covid scare. So I'll stay away for now until things calm down

It is illegal to discharge a weapon in my city but I have a well used bullet trap in my basement. From certain sounds I have heard one of my neighbors has one also.

Idk why I keep doing this... It's time to liquidate some of these scoots to cull the herd back down. I couldn't resist this one is a 2001 malaguti F12 phantom L/C
