Is that similar to the stuff you wrap looms with? this looks like cheap electrical tape sold for $3.99, when $3.50 (or less) will get you a roll of 3m super33 or super88, either would be of very high quality.

I think this tape is really great , check it out. it's not for every application of course but it works fine for wiring and I don't know what else yet.
next time I'll wear a shirt

hey, use whatever tape you like. I'm just sayin, there's electrician grade tape for cheaper. From Lowe's or Home Depot, other stores I'm guessing too.

I bought a roll of this other day just to see what it is . is this new to any of you or do you guys know about this tape? this is killer stuff , super stretchy . That stuff is rubber fusion tape. Back in the day, when we had to insulate split bolt connections, it was the "go to stuff". Used 5 or ten layers, then a couple layers of quality electrical tape over it. It has been replaced by these, insulated multitap connectors. The plastic plugs cover allen set screws that are used to secure the wires in each port.

sure I will.
Old Geek says-
"That stuff is rubber fusion tape. "
now we know the name of it and it's past specialty.
I think it's great for wiring

I've used that HF self.bonding tape before. Decent stuff. NOT electrical tape. It does have its purposes, but I'm not sure I'd be comfortable using it in place of real electrical tape, but to wrap a loom? Cable management? Other aesthetic shtuff? Yes, yes, and oh yes.
