I was so excited and then I was so disappointed. The level shipped to my house and showed up at five minutes after seven this morning. I did not get to look at it until around 2:30 PM. When I did it was the wrong item. The magnetic level is not available at all. This is very disappointing because I don’t have enough hands to hold the tube hold the clamp and hold a level all at the same time. Ouch!
I have a smaller 9-10" magnetic digital level I bought years ago at Home Dufus. It does not have any audio function, but it is very handy for some projects.
Amazon seems to have several kinds like this one but it may not be accurate enough for your application.

I bought a little winter riding stuff. A balaclava, extra set of batteries for my heated gloves plus a USB cable so I could charge the glove batts while riding, and a pair of insulated bib overalls.
Also picked up a new GPS. My old one won't go past 1 bar for battery charge anymore and now it keeps wanting me to start a course from wherever I am instead of whatever I wanted it to do for some reason. I may take a day trip in the cold weather and the last thing I want to do is be on a freeway freezing to death AND be lost.
Oh, and 4 deer whistles. Sheer paranoia.

I can't fit a camera in there, so nothing to show off... but I just came home from a root canal. Lost a filling a week or so ago. Turns out I need a root canal and crown or extraction. Dentist said I'm too young for extraction to be a good idea.
An hour and a half in the chair at the endodontist today and they still aren't done. As usual, I have to be difficult. The roots twist and turn and they are having trouble getting it all done so I get to go do it again after giving some sort of "medicine" 3 weeks in my tooth. I had no sensitivity and was eating fine. Now they said I may have sensitivity and I can't eat anything crunchy, chewy or sticky for 3 weeks till the next one.
If that's finished at some point, then build up and a crown another week or two later.
I've kept dental insurance for years now because I was dumb and skipped dentists for 20+ years and then had a bunch of filling and stuff. Glad I did. The bill without insurance says $1,993. With insurance, $342. By the time the crown and such is done, I guess I'll be in $800-900. This isn't nearly as fun as a high end pipe and big bore kit would have been for that money.

Well did something different today. I normally go into a shop in Aberaeron with Yolanda and get bored while she looks at handbags and bags. Well today I bought a manbag and she bought a car! 🙂

What a good idea aeroxbud. I hadn't thought of that excuse to put to Yolanda. By the way you have a PM.

Audio recorder and lavalier mic (Zoom H1n & Rode Lavalier Go). Been wanting to try one for a long time to see if it reduces echo in the garage. Not sure I'm gonna like it. I recorded my first stuff just now and it's fine with it cold out there and clipped on a flannel. Warm weather, sweating and grinding and welding... doesn't seem like it will be much fun. It may be reserved for certain scenarios... if it sounds OK at all. It seems odd that it has a hold function so buttons can't be pressed while it's in your pocket or wherever... but you can still move the input level dial which could easily screw everything up.

I got this mini clamp meter. I've wanted the Amprobe version (I'm an Amprobe fan) for awhile, but I can't justify *that price*. Dang that's inexpensive piece of gear for Amprobe. I've got a nice AC clamp meter, but yeah, no DC with that one. for some reason models lower down their line, the Klein's, can read DC current with the clamp, but not mine. But I wanted to get something for wiring up the scoot. I've been using it a little as I top balance some cells for the bikes battery just to play with it. Works well and is pretty accurate. a clamp meter is a huge time saver! this little thing is going to be so handy setting up the scoot's electrical system, and I'm positive I'll be using it for battery projects all the time. there's no other meter functions, just straight up current and a tiny form factor, I feel like I'm going to use it for so much!

You know you’re a hopeless scooter nut when you choose new glasses because they match your wheels. 😎
