Id start off with a narrow needle with a long taper and sharp tip(rich needle). In the beginning you won't be riding wot much so you want more mid range richness.

The JJH needle I couldn't for the love of me get 1/8th throttle to clear up!!! So i gave up and went back with the N80f needle witch is a bit leaner and it runs much better at 1/8th throttle anyway ,,, other then that the JJH performance is superb.!!!! Nice and crisp

NAPF Is my needle. It's slightly rich but seems to keep jetting consistent with weather changes. It got rid of lean spots.

Well I'm still waiting for my top end but I figured I'd try and get my carb half ass in tune before it arrives. And to my surprise it fits without having to modify the seat bucket at all. The air filter I had was a no go, it's super tight in that area. So I had to bust out the scissors and crazy glue. Everything fits perfect now, tucked up where you can't even see the filter Rain or what ever will not be an issue. But I had some issues today because I'm an idiot, and I wreck my throttle cable. When I first got running I thought I hooked the cable up wrong because it was WOT. I did hook it up wrong but that was a quick fix, but not the real problem. As it would turn out the idle screw was turned all the way in ( really who doesn't check that!!! ) Anywho, I got angry and the cable took the brunt of that. Sooooo, now I'll be waiting for a throttle cable. Anyone know of any good deals on throttle cables? Here's a quick carb size comparison. This is a stock 12mm dell off a pre-bug vs a 28mm Keihin

Thanks man. I actually ended up doing something similar to that last night. Now that I have it working, I realize I'll need to switch to an MX throttle set up. These PWK type carbs have way longer throw then the dellorto I was using. With my converted stock throttle it's about a 180 degree pull to go WOT. It's manageable but, definitely not ideal.

I thought I was the only one that used Walmart bicycle cables for throttle cables. Lol

I got a little tuning time in today with the new carb set up. Just to recap the carb is from a 2007 Honda cr85. I may drop the pilot jet a size, but other then that it's almost spot on. I couldn't believe how smooth it was straight outta the box. Like I mean zero bogging, fartin, snorting nothing.
