Check out the regulations though. I think when I looked at WI laws, any more than 4 vehicles sold a year required a license/permit of some kind, and a certain amount of indoor showroom space... In North Carolina, Personal Property is Personal Property. A 50cc bike that requires basically nothing is exempt from all the red tape. Also I thank you for trying to help me from making a mistake friend. XO

I think you did a good job putting the ad together. Will you be able to work with the distributor or dealer for warranty items? If so, that would be a good selling point that would put you another step ahead of what some of the random businesses that sell scoots out front are doing. I have been investigating that..more on that issue to come. Valid point as always from you brent and I appreciate you and all input. I plan to do one at a time. I'm not going to have a driveway full of ready to go bikes. Sure I may be able to get a bulk discount but I will only assemble one to put up for sale. Once that sells, break open the crate on the next one and so on. With google earth the way it is, I certainly dont want the City coming over and questoning me on why so many scooters in the driveway. Of course I can say well they are all mine, its a fettish/hobby or whatever. I have been considering an aluminum car-port cover just to keep the eye in the sky from seeing what I have. -J

THIS thread is what makes 49ccscoot what it is. We all look out for each-other. I feel I have found a home. God Bless you all.
IDEA! "1st annual (or 2nd or 5th or whatever)49ccscoot.com Jamboree!" Perhaps this has already been done..which I wouldn't know know about since I am a relative newcomer. Seems like a cool campground would be ideal... If its been done, lets get it going again!
Your Thoughts?

We are pretty well spread out. Some of the guys met up, and raced, last year at this event last year, twistandgone.com/2011/

Twist and Gone is definitely your best bet for meeting up with folks from multiple US forums at this point. To be honest, I doubt you'll see me putting together any event in the near future. I've got social anxiety disorder, so if I did I wouldn't show up. lol I'm sure that sounds bad, and I like you guys and gals, so please don't take that the wrong way. I don't even like being around a big group of pretty close friends anymore. On top of that, as much as people think it's a cool thing, when it comes time to decide to drive halfway across the country, it kills the enthusiasm for a lot of folks. We're spread out, so we'd have to be in KS or something anyway. Then our friends from across the pond are left out. Not sure if they can scoot across the ocean? lol
There's a T&G roll call thread somewhere around here I think. Off the top of my head I believe Reign, 2strokd, dude, shakerdriver, rocketdog, enviromoto, Shiftless, wt100, will all be there or had planned to. If I forgot you and you mentioned it, sorry.
I looked for the thread but I can't seem to find it. Maybe I'm imagining things? lol :stars:
Here's a vid of last year's event that Tim (WT100) did...

There are advantages when living in a small country. I can get to the middle in 2hrs or so, which is where most of our events are. We have lots of scooter events here :riding: I'm hoping to be meeting up with some in less than 2 weeks time, if my foot's healed. I'll take lots of pics of how a real powerful (40+hp) scooter looks. Hopefully ''the UK's fastest scooter'' will be there, they live 15mins away from the strip When it was suggested that we meet somewhere central my first thought was ''I wonder if there are any sizable islands mid Atlantic''

That is one of the reasons I like the camera. I can just wander around taking photo's and have an excuse not to chat. I'm ok once i have time to get a feel for people though. Mostly. T & G is only an 8 hour trip for me, but driving in new places scares the heck out of me too.

I'm gonna start carrying a lot of cameras with me. lol Actually, when I do tags for scooter tag I feel weird doing it around people still.

It's May 14th this year isn't it? I'm gonna have to pass this year I think. At least at this point. I have the city inspector on my butt to get the house painted, and the garage down by June 1st. I got a reprieve on the roof getting done...going to depend on how well the weather cooperates with me though on my days off. It would be a good time for the snow to stop and go away now

LOL. Oh no you don't Thanks for the offer Though, but I have a plan. It's just a matter of getting the rain and snow to stop when I want it too, Ha Ha. I've got some friends lined up for the garage tear down as soon as the snow melts, again. Should be able to get it down in a day. The painting is a weather thing too. I just may try for the TNG, but it'll be a close call. We'll get back to that when it's closer.
