Might need the gasket because of tolerances in the trans. I went through that with T2 when I put it back together. No gasket, it was so tight I could hardly move the gears. Replacement gasket, just fine. Oddly enough, I put T1 together with sealant and it was fine. :stumped:

You can take that little bushing out and it will be fine w/o a gasket....

I tried that on T2 and it still wouldn't work. I think just different tolerances... or my luck. It's hard to say. lol

Paper gasket with semi-drying gasket maker has always worked well for me on other stuff.. MANNN it was about 50 degrees at most on my 25 mile ride today and it took forever to get Midnight warmed up but when it did..wow I noticed a good increase in power- 500 miles on it now and the bike really seemed to love the cool air temp. 45-46 on flats and an average of 50 on the slightly rolling short "hills" if you know what I mean and down a long hill it topped about 57. again these are all in chinometers but it doesnt feel that far off up to 50. Thats the top end. The engine revs great to take off then at about 15 mph im in high gear. GOTTA get some sliders. Im gonna meet the dude with the 83cc kit to have a look. need to make sure what my cdi voltage is beforehand though. It seems like too good a deal to pass by. He claims its all still in the box just as it showed up. I offered $150 but hes firm on $175 so its about a $50 savings I guess. Oh yea, Seems to me like i recall a rubber tube that came off the fan shroud on my 150 to blow hot air on the carb to help the carb/gas warm up..i see no such thing on this 50. My mind is turning over how to make one hmmmm.... Discuss--- Modify: As to the speeds above, remember I weigh 160 lbs.

raleigh.craigslist.org/mcy/2255316731.htmlI bought it. We are gonna see how long a 50mm BBK lasts my friends I will post what the ODometer says when I build it. Considering a lower gear as well. I want fast-take-off..not so much top end really.... Sleeperscoot comes to mind right now lol The cat I bought the parts from claims to be a member here ....ok...not an active one but yeah the whole kit is there....the head may be stock I dunno enough about them to tell the diff. Beautiful weather so get out and ride

You will see for sure if it's a stock head when you remove the stocker. The 50cc combustion chamber is tiny compared to the 50mm. If you measure across it and it's closer to 2 inches, it's not stock.
A set of Naraku gears from Enviro might be just the ticket for you. They claim to increase top speed, but in my experience they reduced it a little. They did improve acceleration a little though. Nothing drastic, but a slight change that still makes it a good rider. You'll see a lot more torque with that 50mm kit though, so I'd advise just waiting and getting the 50mm done first. Might save yourself a few bucks and decide you don't need different gears.

Thanks Brent.
Im gonna do the gearbox and the BBK all in one shot. Still waiting for the gasket for the gearbox to show up. I have made all my money back for the gearbox and am getting lots of inquiries on that other stuff which will pay for the BBK. I need to come up with the funds for a pipe. Its gonna be a good summer (I hope) I might just be setting myself up for trouble lol...like bill said...Cary cops suck lol

Good luck with your bbk. love those random craigs deals..Saw you were in cary, I grew up there Where 'bouts and what years? I rode a wonderful 125 miles yesterday out the the B.Everett Jordan lake and Sharon Harris Nuke Plant lake areas like you see in my avatar (BEAUTIFUL route I take) after putting on my free flow air filter and adjusting the valves from the stock setting of .0015 to .004 on both and adjusting the throttle cable slack. Boy that really woke the little sucker up! Checked the plug a few mins ago and as i suspected its lean so I moved the needle clip down to the last slot (it was on the next to last) and ran the A/F screw 3 turns out...might have to run that back in some since I moved the clip too. I changed the gear lube and to my total surprise, NO METAL came out. Perhaps something had a sharp edge on it or it had a little piece of something in there that got ground up and came out in all my gear lube changes. So I guess im gonna leave it be until it starts to make some kind of hallacious noise, got the ebay one on my bench in the box which I have already made all my money back on, that was a good find for $31 I was really happy to see no metal. I hope everyone had a chance to ride over the weekend!

took a quick WOT ride then did a plug read....a little more tan but still lean looking. turned out the A/F screw another half turn but thats not good really, that far out and you risk it vibrating out altogether.
The bbk came with a 95 and a 105 but I think those will be overkill. Whats the stock size? 83? Im thinking an 88 might do the trick.
