Just now got home!!! And no it wasn't hot or nutin. Hell I just rode it over 20miles chilled for bit then took off as normal and about 5miles later I felt it lose power significantly as I was just cruising about 1/4 throttle.....Say 45mph or so...... Then I stopped at a buddies and baaam it died and I now have zero compression!!!!!!
Anyway I change the needle befor I left to the JJH second clip..... So that is the only culprit but hell it never felt lean to me and I was running threw all throttle positions the whole damn ride!!!!

What would cause that? Inferior parts? Bad Q.C. in manufacturing or what?
Sorry to hear this.

1/4 throttle killed it!!A race style motor(yours) is a WFO (wide 'full' open) machine..The worlds top tuners hate to see their hard work smoked due to part throttle fries..What happens is the exhaust is pushed back into the transfers due to wild porting and heats the incoming mixture, from there it gets bad..All is great when its on the pipe and the mixture is pulled thru the ports with the pipes suction effect..From now on just ride it WFO and it'll last a long time!Uhh,till the cops lock you up...

Is the locator pin still there? That's exactly what happened to me. The locator pin pushed in letting the ring spin, and it caught the exhaust port.

At 1/8 to 1/4 throttle you were on the needle/needle jet so your diagnoses is prolly correct. You were talking about how well it ran with your needle change and that's a tell.A two stroke runs the best lean right before it grenades. But you knew that.
