Yeah, once you go 2T you'll never be impressed with 4T. They are literally worlds apart. Sad but true. And to think I was about to get the little China scoot with the kit on it that was hiding the Super 9. I saw it and had to have it.

I'd say this bell had gotten warm... And this clutch has about run it's course.

Purple gear oil? That seems fancy. Maybe should've left that in.. .

Man, this thing is NO fun. Something's gotta give. My taotao is just a fifty, and beat to hell, and it's got more balls. I'm about to order up some parts, otherwise it'll be next Halloween before I break it in. If it just showed a little hope...

What size jets are you using? Main should be somewhere around 85 and the pilot around 35.

Idle is 35, main was 82, I swapped it out to what I believe is 85. It was a jet from an unmarked set I bought, they came in labeled bags but they all got mixed up or I enlarged them for my super 9. I used a torch tip cleaner to determine it was just barely bigger, and the 85 was the only jet I didn't enlarge. I'm beginning to think that the stock head and intake is holding it back. I don't wanna open up the airbox any yet until I get some bigger jets. I'm in no rush to burn up this cylinder lol. The filter does need replaced, though. I'm thinking I'll do the same thing I did with my super 9 airbox, opened up to almost equivalent to an open pod filter, but still water resistant for weather changes.

I used the stock head with good results.I screwed up and ordered the 69mm head by mistake,so I just used the stock head. I put a 47mm big bore on the wife's scooter and it gets close to 50mph. The only difference is I used a uni filter instead of the stock air box.

Hmm. Interesting. Well, it's only been one day of tinkering. I feel like I need to open the air box some. The lead into it is only the size of my finger. Maybe all that emissions crap?

I removed the whole Pair system on my daughter's Agility. That seemed to help it. I left the CVT stock except for the rollers. I think I used 6 gram rollers but not for sure.

I just swapped out the rollers for a mix of 5 and 7, since I wanted 6 but don't have any good ones around. It almost feels like those are too heavy, but my ears want to hear rpms! Damn 2 stroke mentality!!!

Removing the emissions or PAIR junk, I decided that I'd try this since I don't have the blocking plates or all of the necessary tools to make my own. Take out the reed block from the valve cover Remove the reeds Place shorter reed over the hole Torque really well Then I checked to see it was without leaks with the trusty mouth pressure checker. No leaks. I'm contemplating using the other reed to block the hole on the head, but I'm not sure if it's necessary.

After it was still not performing anywhere near a stock unrestricted taotao, I decided to get to hacking on the airbox. I readjusted the valves first, they were a bit tighter than I wanted. No change, besides a great ticking from a crooked feeler gauge on the exhaust valve. Fixed that. The airbox was restricted by the opening of the snorkel being tapered down, clipped that. The entry way to the airbox was barely the size of the tip of my index finger. Drilled that out. Then the tube that goes from the box to the carb had a half inch lip halfway through it, cut that down. Then I upjet. I used the largest I had that wasn't ridiculously large. It was still super lean. With expectations of failure, I tossed in one of the really really big ones. IT WAS BARELY SHOWING COLOR! That little bit of mods really went on the plug. And honestly, these have been some of the most expressive plug chops I've ever done. I've always had a problem with getting slim to no reading on my super 9 in such a brief run. These are showing quick!. So, I'm going to order some parts and some jets. It's actually showing some signs of improvement. Now that I'm moving, I need to figure out this front brake. Barely responsive halfway through pulling the lever, then BAM! BRAKES! It had tried to get me a few times now. Before I let my brother get at it I need it to be so his dumb @$$ doesn't kill himself on it.

I wouldn't put a lot of money into it unless you really like it. I'd make it look presentable and run well. Then I'd sell it for a profit. the more you do to it the less your return will be. You'll never be happy with it after having a 2 stroke. I had a perfectly good 2012 Zuma that rode like a dream but was so slow that I wanted to burn it to the ground. Needles to say,I did not own it very long at all.

If I spend another 100 bucks on it and it's able to cruise at least 40 +/- then it'll be worth it. It's mainly a backup and for my brother. And something to keep me from running my super 9 into the ground over the winter. By the end of winter I may have another super 9. The parts are ridiculously cheap for these 4t's , so I'm not too scared.
