Not a bad scoot, but the extra 20cc doesn't worry me too much. I'm gonna pull it apart either way. It would mainly be nice because you can't get much out of a 150cc GY6 without case boring to my understanding. I think they can only go as large as 58.5mm to get 156cc. I definietly won't pay roughly $1500 more for that, but if I can find a clean used one I might go that way.

Lord! That looks like an echo chamber to me! Huge transfers too! Hold on to your panties when you get that baby stuck together! ;D

Whats the bore on your contesa? Also can you (or did you) do a port map and see how it compares to the corsa? Im pretty sure the ports or about the same other than the ex. port being higher in the corsa. Glad to hear of the comeback ;D

I'll do a port map at some point, might be after the weekend. I'm still not sure I wanna put a 7.5HP (ideally) cylinder on. Jeremy gave me a good deal though. I gotta check it out, but the part number specifies that it's for a 12mm wrist pin. I was hoping to get something for a 10mm. My crankshaft is too small for 12 and too big for 10 but I figured maybe I could find a bearing that would let a 10 work. I had intended for this build to be a little beefier than the 100cc. Not sure that this kit will do that. Pretty sure all the ports on my 54mm cylinder are bigger than these. I think they'd need to be bigger for that motor, but it would be nice to have ports that big for an 80cc or maybe more transfers or something. I dunno what the hell I'm doing. lol

Yep the 0105 kit is a 12mm. you want a 0104 or the kit that jeremy sent me originally. I forget the number. both of which are made for 10mm. You could build a whole new engine if you bought one of my spares and slapped that 0105 sport kit on it

I thought the Polini sport kits were good to About 10hp with the right combo. These kits have good torque, if we could get 11,000+rpm outta one without loosing the low-end that would be great . Were are you reading about 7.5hp Brent? Not that i dont believe you, just curious. I have read all kinds of numbers on these kits Thanks for the port map link 190 ;D

I gotthe numbers from an eBay seller and from a forum. I was doing some searching and allegedly...
Polini Sport/Contessa = 7.5HP Polini Corsa = 8.5HP Polini Corsa R = 11.5HP Polini Evolution = 17.8HP
I think those numbers were at one point released by Polini, but they may not be current.
I've read on a few sites that the Corsa is better than the Contessa stock, but that a Contessa has more potential than the Corsa if both are ported. No one ever bothers to finish that thought with a ported port map or any pointers.

Yea,the port guys are as bad as the pipe guys, they want to keep all their work secret so no one will make millions from their ideas!I think sharing makes better designs from more peoples views.I've been looking at pipe calculators for weeks and they all have a little 'bug' in them to throw off the dimensions!

Ahh so there is two versions of the Corsa! I thought there might be cause i was reading about a black head and i just figured to get that kinda power it would need more aggressive port timing. As mine sits its pretty close to the Contesa kit, other than the bore and the exhaust timing. Good to know. I have been thinking about working on the ex. port on my corsa but i think it would be silly to not run it first to get a "base". Even if it is just 1 more HP, that allot on a 49cc based scoot and 1 more hp than i had lol. I wonder if the corsa has allot of low-end too? Im not expecting as much with it though, the topend will hopefully make up for that.

Here's the port map. Looks like the same ports, just 1mm higher on the Corsa. And of course the Sport is only 46mm bore. So 1mm + 1mm = 1HP. lol

I think I'm gonna end up sticking with this kit. I have it, and it was a good price. As much as I want to make this thing a monster with high end stuff, I just can't afford all those high end parts and I need something that will be reliable for many miles. At least it will be nearly square with a 45mm stroke and a 46mm bore. It's about as close as stock with a 39.2mm stroke and a 40mm bore.
Now, do I wanna put it together with the cylinder in stock form (other than smoothing and spacers etc... to get it right with the longer stroke) and mod it after I've rode a bit... or do I wanna try and make some small changes before it goes together? I wonder if I'll need to recess the combustion chamber on this one with the added displacement?

Is that crank set up for 50cc's or will you have to get a 90cc variator and ignition?Wonder if it will need a 90cc cyl shroud? I like the idea of the stroker and 70cc kit!
