other than that, some research in the german scene - the Morini (Street Magic) is NOT interchangabel with minarelli stuff. The way i understand, the TGB is morini? I never said the Street Magic engine could use Minarelli parts, I said that it was designed in a collaboration between Motori Minarelli and Suzuki, this is before Yamaha outright owned Minarelli, this engine is known as both "Late Morini" and Suzuki Morini" The only parts the same as the old Franco Morini AD and AC engines Suzuki made under license and used on older models is the bore assembly, nothing else at all swaps over (besides the clutches, which as you say are fairly generic). TGB uses another Franco Morini engine design, the Morini AL engine, nothing to do with Suzuki at all. /quote] it is 4am and I sit here reading about Materiality in past States and chiefdoms, so I can be a bit distracted[

drc174, I may need to pick your brain a bit some other time to make sure I understand what you were saying. I think I get it, but I like to have it dumbed down sometimes, Just to be clear. If you have any links already written with this in mind please share. I'm all ears.

That's beautiful. But... There's a ridiculously small amount of clearance between the support bar and the intake and reed area. It's in a very inconvenient place for the frame mount and the seat bucket. I'll show a pic soon, maybe tomorrow. I need a refresher myself of what I'm working with. Maybe I could delete the bar, add a 3-4 inch stretch and bolt it without the bar, it would free up that area above the case intake.

Could you post the bearing numbers up at some point? I'm curious to compare the size with the different Suzukis I've got here.

The reed inlet tract is pointed in the right direction, unlike the Minarelli, think there is a bigger reed mod kit out there, saw it posted on a build here...Can get exact measurements for the TGB crank/bearings,etc.as Ive got one torn down, will have to be after work though..

I'm willing to measure, but I no longer have access to digital calipers, only the Harbor Freight manual ones. With these things I'm sure that accuracy is important.

These are the replacement ones from partsforscooters. Almost 47mm outer diameter, almost 20mm inner diameter. the other, about 51.5mm outer diameter, 25mm inner diameter.

almost 69mm here. 28 and 8mm total of 36mm the area that houses the crank. 34mm here. I need to buy a digital. And get this other side out. Any tricks besides beating it out? I can heat up the case side... ?

I split mine earlier on, haven't measured up the crank yet though.
My bigger bearing is a 6006 which is 30x55x13mm The smaller one is a 6204 which is 20x47x14mm
To get mine out of the second case half I put the nut on to protect the thread, then gave it a few sharp taps with a plastic faced mallet. Bearings came out easy with a few taps on a big drift.

Sorry for the late reply!Mag side is 6204; Drive side is a off number, but measures out to be a 6205; Here is a TGB amd Mina(big taper) side by side; Drive side of TGB and small spline Mina; Here is a TGB and big spline Mina drive side; As you can see the Mina and TGB are waay different..FWIW,TGB crank width is 36mm,Mina 38mm..Crank wheel OD TGB 67mm,Mina 72mm/90cc 78MM..TGB rod length is 75mm,Mina 80mm(Big end and small end same size) Looked at a Kymco in the shop, different too, maybe a Honda Dio(or whatever) might come closer than a Mina??

Good looking out 190mech. Looks as if the variator would sit too far in to even try. I'd like to see a Kymco, or dio, next to it. But then I'd have issues finding a pain with 12mm wrist pin to match the cylinder

I don't want to just drop all my dreams, but WTF cools an engine when you run the inner rotor stator? At this point I'm ready to just find a replacement crank with the silver bearing cage and focus on the pipe and intake, like drc174 suggested. Since my s9 is liquid cooled I would be better off running an electric water pump and finding an inner rotor stator for that. I'm not sure what my obsession with those stator is. Just unique to me I suppose.

Good article! The TGB has such a small crank assy the rotational mass is waay less that a Minarelli!!
