This thing is off of craigslist now. I have had no inquiries since the weather cooled. I drained the gas today. Unless Monty learns to ride it, it'll go back up in spring. I'm considering trying to swap the whole bar setup with the TaoTao's, but I would probably need to find a replacement set of bars for this and I tossed the speedo cable and maybe the gear like a dummy when I installed the Trail Tech. If parts cost much, I'll just leave it.

Monty looks like he needs a bigger scoot! How is he doing? Doing great. He's a fast learner. The vet said he believes the same as I do, that he's part Great Dane. Said he should be 90ish lbs when he fills out (71lb now). That makes him a little tougher around food, because his head is at the counter and right at plate height if you eat. Otherwise, no complaints. Thanks for asking.

I looked at picture for 30 or 40 seconds before I even noticed Monty sitting there. He looks right at home

We have a GSP/Dane 110 pounds, 3 years old, just a big loveable goof of a dog, it's their size (danes) that causes problems, ours had a bad habit of hugging people.

I posted it in the Project TaoTao thread a while ago, but I took the Vapor and the naked bar setup off of the Roketa so that I could swap the bars to the TaoTao and keep the Vapor. I thought since the Roketa's old handlebars that I made into a clamp setup fit the TaoTao, that the TaoTao bars may work with the Roketa. Not so much. They fit the stem, but the height was too low and I'd never be able to get the stock gauges back on without nearly rebuilding them. Luckily, I found exact replacement bars on Roketa's site. IIRC they ended up $42 (it's been a while since I ordered them). I also had to buy the stock speedometer cable and sender again. I have a bad habit of tossing stock parts in the garbage. I don't like 'em. Got the replacements from China for a total of $13. So, I had direct replacement handlebars and speedo parts that meet stock specs... it'll go together like cake. Ha. Right. The speedometer cable and sender actually worked just fine. It was the bars right from the manufacturer and stickered to show that they're for this exact model that didn't work at first. If I bolted the bottom of the bars and handlebar cover together, the top mounts were off. If I mounted the top first, there was a big gap at the mount on the bottom. I ended up stacking washers to find the height needed and then cutting a spacer from steel tubing for the bottom mount and that got the cover to fit. Then one side of the bars fit fine under the cover, but the other sat too tall (or the cover sat too low) so I had to cut part of the cover out to make room. I got all of the wiring for the Vapor out of there and stuck it back together. Took pics today so it can go on craigslist again soon. Not looking forward to more BSers.

Good luck on the sale! That scoot would sell pretty quickly in my area (within a week or two) because it's cleaner and nicer than most of the other scoots that go up for sale. I've noticed an upward trend of pricing lately too. A 150 chinese scoot seems to be at an average price of $800 lately....

Last time one person would go $600, but it turned out to not be what they wanted. The only other person that seemed seriously interested (multiple contacts) was at $500, but couldn't figure out how to get it to Philly. Then some low ball nonsense around $200. Nobody seems to like scooters much here. I don't know if I'm even bothering with another video. I don't believe the average Joe can be bothered to watch them, since everyone asked questions that were covered in the long ad and the video both. Some couldn't even be bothered to notice 150 repeatedly and asked if it was a 50. The kind of questions that make you wonder if you're from another planet or everyone else is.

Good luck with the sale. It's priced fair. I usually have my first line something as: Reply with a phone number or you will get no response from me. It really does cut down on the normal CL time wasters. If someone is serious they won't mind sharing their number obviously.
