Maybe the timing is 180º off? Try removing the spark plug and rotating the engine with your finger on the plug hole to fell compression and then check if the cam is aligned when the T mark comes around.

appreciate that!! we are talkin bout my sweet lil aggravating QMB 139!! i thoght with a 4 stroke ,as long as the "t" mark lined up on the case and the camhole line up with the top of the head it is timed right ! so 4 strokes can be 180 out?

you know what? i think the fly wheel might be out of index slightly! when i tootsie rolled my woodruff key it slightly enlarged the area where the key goes into the crank ! could the slight, very slight, enlargement of this area be the culprit? the "T" mark still lines up at the highest point of piston travel in the bore!

yes i have and it was too much air not enough fuel!! got it running ,"like a dog",but running! I cracked the head where the two eight mm. bolts go to hold the side where the cam chain and tensioners are oil was shootn out the crack when i revved it ,so I took it apart and put some steel JB Weld on the inside and out side of the crack,we'll see how she does!! yep, that porting opened it up right much so the air fuel mix had to be readjusted and had t raise the needle to fatten it up just alil bit! so far it is responding ! done for the night !! i been at the thing since noon!!

oh and i put one of those Naraku, aluminum phenolic carb spacers on it too! they said it was for the QMB139 ,but it was so big the rubber ring wouldn't seal to the intake port. my stock rubber ring on the stock intake broke so, i made two high temp cork gaskets ! set them up like this, gasket on the port, naraku spacer, gasket, then intake on top! no leaks ! raised the height of the intake approximately 3/8 of an inch ! what effect will this have?

It probably won't have much effect at all. If it were going to do anything, the longer intake would probably slightly increase low end power.
