Now, I've seen this, the Zoomer X, around on the internet but I don't think they sell it in the US do they? Why not? I LOVE the look of it..

I don't recall seeing that before, but now at least I know exactly what TaoTao is ripping off. I actually thought they had used their imagination and combined the Yamaha Zuma and a Ruckus. www.taotao.us/index.cfm/scooters/zummer-50/

Kinda sad really what TaoTao and other Companies do. If you see someone with a Kymco Cobra you just assume it's the cheap knockoff and even makes the original seem a little more cheezy :/

Have seen some of them on the streets. They look heavy and slow. I was never a big fan of the Honda Zoomer (aka. Ruckus). In Japan the people that have no idea about scooters usually buy a Honda Zoomer (aka. Ruckus). Now the Japan Scooter Scene is shifting to the 125cc Scooters since it became easier to obtain the max 125cc Scooter license. So we have less and less 49cc Scoots on the streets but more and more 125cc Scoots. Yamaha CygnusX, Honda PCX, Honda Zoomer X, Suzuki Address 125 and so on...

Yes they sell them in the States. It's the new 2016. I've seen a couple of them running around town here in Reno.

Honda's US powersports site doesn't show them with the other 2016 models. I also looked at 2015 and 2014 and didn't see them. I saw talk about a chance of them making it to US market back in 2012-2013 in upcoming years, but that's about it.

I used to have my own scoot shop and made a lot of contacts. The problem you would have is it would be two to three hundred to ship it to you. So I guess if they offer free shipping then the 800 is reasonable.

And a 150+cc 4 stroke or a 2 stroke to swap in.. Or something.

I've never had the opportunity to get up close but have seen some that look like that rolling down the road.

Lil off topic here but icebear has came out with a grom clone and it will be released between March and April this yr for around $1800-2300. Just a heads up since we're talking about clones and someone mentioned 125cc
