Man, I hate losing things. Drives me bananas. Especially scooter bits. I need to put back in my shorter boss drive, and I can't find it. I took it out less than a month ago,i believe. And i vaguely remember saying to myself "I'll probably need this again soon" before I put it away. I've looked through all my containers and bags, all the parts on what was once my kitchen table, even looked in places I know I wouldn't put it. I know many of you have more scooter mess than me. I assume I'm not alone in this struggle. If I didn't need It so badly it would be easily found.

Start looking for that air filter or starter Bendix. It'll jump out and bite you when your not looking for it. Well at least that's how it always works for me.

I never lose stuff see I have great organizing skills. Actually it's pretty tidy now! Sad but true...

My variator nut. > Really though, I try to keep it somewhat organized. I keep most of my tools in the box, on a chair, on a shelf, or if I'm working on something, a spot on the floor. Most of the stuff I've removed from the scooter is in one bin, and so on. I still lose stuff.

Last week I spent an hour or more looking for a part that was in the second place I looked, just a few minutes into the search, but I overlooked it the first time. Today I spent 15 minutes thinking I may have dropped a Snap-On ratcheting screwdriver in a parking lot the other night when I was pulling something out of the seat bucket, but found it under other stuff in the garage. The only bright side to losing things is the relief that comes when you realize you do indeed have what you were searching for.

Still haven't found it. I spent 15 minutes looking for my tape measure the other day, gave up and used my calipers. Then went back in to find it sitting 8 inches from where I picked up my calipers from and where I looked first. Now that I have it tuned fine without it, it should show up in the next day or so. Gremlins. That's the excuse.

The Harbor freight magnetic dish comes in real handy. But then again could lose that too.

I just went to get a pic for Scoot Tag. Pulled up next to something for a pic. Went to grab the camera from under the seat. Son of a... Left it in the garage.
