Going to embarrass some more sports bikes? Hoping not to embarrass myself. lol My main goal is not to crash. It's possibly the most iconic motorcycle road in the world (for sure in the US) with 318 curves in 11 miles... and I'm not that excited about it. I want to ride it, but I hear you're too fast for some and too slow for others so you're either in the way or someone's in your way if it's busy at all (assuming it will be after Memorial Day any time the weather is decent). I'm so used to going out into the local swamps that have way less turns, but I'm also out there mostly alone in many areas. Go at your own pace, no one riding on your back tire or blowing past and I've had to pass other bikes only a few times in all the times I've been there. I can roll at top speed through some bends and then have to slow way down for some tight turns. I can relax and enjoy the ride instead of worrying about anyone else. We'll see. I hope I'm wrong. People appear to enjoy coming back, so maybe it is indeed the greatest thing ever.

The tree of shame is full of people who did. These sort of places always have locals who make everyone else look like an amateur. Never try to keep up with the locals. Looking forward to the video. 👍

Today after 5 years saying I must fix that trailer this year finally got round to removing the floor and as I inspected it the garage owner arrived in the yard had a look and said you grind it I will weld it one evening in the week for you which is a result for those of you who have seen my welding attempt pics on Vespa's 😊 About time. There will be more Peugeot scooters needing saving, and releasing into the wild again. Your trailer needs to be up to the challenge.👍

While you are cleaning it up you might want to add some steel in a few places. Some of that frame is beyond saving. It might be a job for the smith.

Who needs more metal rollingbender when you can use JB Weld.🤔 Indeed FrankenMech more metal being sourced . aeroxbud stop using that rude word at me!

milly inspired me! I pulled the leaf and branch hauler trailer out of the back yard. The leaf/branch side boards are removable. I added 4 wheel chocks that are welded to the frame and the side panels will still fit inside the chocks. I’ll be blowing the leaves off tomorrow on the way to taking the family out on a scooter adventure at a resort area an hours drive from home.

Milly will need to know how much JB Weld/inch to order so he can weld the wheel chocks to the frame.
An alternative may be PVC pipe chocks and PVC cement since it sticks so well to iron oxide.

Here it is out in the wild… Front to back, Yamaha Vino 125, Yamaha Zuma 50 2t, Yamaha Vino 50 4t, Tn’G Milano 50 2t We had a load of fun tootling around for the day. Here’s the hauler with the scooters dismounted. I will be adding a proper ramp and more elegant tie down options in the near future. And some paint in an attempt to avoid the fate of milly ‘s trailer.

You can probably shorten those wheel chocks to a more regular height, just past mid point on the largest tires you typically carry, since they just need to cradle the front tire. Auxiliary straps are probably a good idea.
Regular inspections for cracking is needed.
Paint only helps if the steel has never been exposed to salt. Salt can not be removed, it is nasty stuff. Paint can actually accelerate corrosion in some instances. There are some primers that will help chemically bond and passivate the salt.
