OK guys I finally got my hurricane up and running. Now it's time to build it. I have another Scooter that I ride for transportation so I'm gonna be focusing on building this one and taking my time to get good quality parts but I need y'all help because I don't know anything about 2 Stroke parts. I wanna get a nice bore kit for it obviously and what else should I start with?

Thanks for that info. I'm thinking a mild sport upgrade right now because I haven't really gotten into changing crankshafts yet. But I can't get the damn thing running again. It's like it starts up then dies. Then it will just turn and turn. If I let it sit for a couple minutes it will start up and then die. I think it has something to do with the filter that's on it. I need to just get a stock airbox for it. I have a straight line going from the tank to the carb with a manual shutoff valve in the middle. The vacuum nipple is capped also

The stock airbox is a good call. That will serve you well even with a sport 70cc. Have yu had the carb off to clean it and inspect it?
Check out autotech355 on eBay. He sells good sport kits at a good price. If you don't want to do it all at once, that should work even with a stock pipe. Will require a little carb and CVT tuning most likely. Then more tuning once you get a pipe. Those iron sport kits are usually able to be adjusted and ported so they can either work with stock or street pipes or more aggressive pipes.

i think it already has an aftermarket pipe on it. i will take a pic and post it. and the carb is brand new, when i put the new carb on it fired right up and i drove it about a mile with some sputtering so i figured the open filter was too much with whatever jet came in the carb, so let me order a stock airbox and get back to you

That's not aftermarket it's the stock catalyst pipe. Super heavy and restrictive.

A nice LV ZX would suit you well.

It doesn't have any marking on it. The seller said it was an aftermarket pipe. Idk It's stock. I have the exact same bike and is high on the list of my many project's. Mine is running atm but if I don't start it for a week or so it takes a while to get it running. I am planning a naked build but who knows. I'm not trying to steal your thread but I think we can compare notes. This is my first 2 stroke build also!

I had to put it off for a bit cause my main Scoot went down and I had to buy a tire... But I found out that a rear wheel from this hurricane will not fit a 4t Scoot. This one has 18 splines and my 4t VIP has 19...
