i have a ruckus clone.. actually called an ice bear sniper.. or so i thought.. you can google it as the PMZ50-10 and i literally can not find shit about it other than the specs on the ice bear site. it runs fucking awesome.. has a little electric start problems but kicks up first try every time.. when the weather is a little cooler she will go up to 43 mph! i know what gy6 parts will fit on it but i need to know if i can fit any ruckus body parts on it.. like a gas tank cover and foot rest.. i hate the stock plastic one. and the seat rack?.. is it the same sizes as the ruck? i know its a lot of questions but ive read and seen threads of guys completely tricking out a clone just different "brands" like the "SHAM RUCK" not sure if it was an ice bear. ideally i would like to just put a 72cc bbk in it along with a few other engine upgrades just to help with wear and tear. lower the seat and add a sissy bar for my wife, rip off the god awful lpastic footrest and add and tank cover and footrest rack with pegs on the fron and back.. maybe paint it.
in a perfect world someone from boston is reading this right now and offers to help me with all of this.. im a DIY guy and ive been doing a lot of research but im not a mechanic and want it to go as smooth as possible.
you guys have all been a lot of help so far and i have faith that one of you will be happy to help again.. thanks for your time/

From looking at the ice bear website. Your plastic footrest looks custom made for that scooter. I'm not a ruck guy but there might be a couple guys here that's more familiar with the ruckus clone platform. And what's interchangeable. If all else fails you can always mod yourself a footrest. Keeping that naked ruckus scooter look.. Diamond plate, thin sheet metal, painted, etc. 43mph isn't bad for a stock 4 stroke.

For the bbk there are good vids on youtube. I watched them all while I was waiting for my parts to arrive. So first time tearing into it took me about 4 hrs. I could probably do it in 1 now. For the frame mods, sounds like a hacksaw and a welder are in order.

I have a different version of that Ruckus clone. Mine has two front wheels, a reverse trike. It looks like I have the same plastic footrest etc as your PMZ50-10. Mine is a DF50TKC. I did not like how the plastic part and the fuel tank fit the frame. I ended up mounting studs on the frame instead of using bolts. I dropped the tank with oversize holes over the studs. I split the footrest piece from side to side so I had a front half and rear half. Then I used stainless steel acorn nuts and SS washers to fasten the footrest cover on. I used adhesive to put some small spacers on top of the tank to help support the footrest evenly. With the footrest split I can remove either half with ease. I split the under seat cover also. Like 'O'Verse said, it would be possible to use diamond plate. My major irritation with the footrest was getting it on and off easily. I hate plastics. If I ever need to replace it I will go down the street and get some diamond plate at an aircraft parts distributor. Google DONGFANG or follow the link below to find the manufacturer of these scoots. www.df-motor.com/Many people import these scoots but I think they all come from DongFang Motor Company. The importers have parts.

Pain in the ass those Ruck clones... Lousy design. I had a couple of them. Pieces of crap in my opinion...here's one of them.

Why? Mine seems to be OK. I only have a few complaints, mostly with the electrical system which seems to be standard for all China scoots. Schematics are poor, wires are minuscule, connections are poor and susceptible to moisture penetration/corrosion, etc.
I am contemplating a 125-150cc motor transplant but the existing 50cc runs great, no leaks, no abnormal noises, etc, but it eats the POS CVT. It is just a 300# China scoot with the dual front wheels I need for balance and stability which is a little much for the hills around here when added to my weight. I did a good PDI and I have had no problems with breakage or fasteners. It is built much better than the POS Taotao which is the only scoot I have been able to examine well. The Taotao was very flimsy and 'bendy' in comparison, but probably also lighter than a two wheel ruck clone.

i had a taotao thunder and it was shhiiitttt compared to my clone.. thanks for all of the help btw, im looking at different ruckus tank covers if heard different things about if they fit clones or not.. i guess ill get it and if it doesnt fit ill send it back.. the problem here is there is not one custom bike shop in boston thats any good or that will work on scooter period. heres a link to the cover i want.. www.amazon.com/Blade-Moto-Cover-Honda-Ruckus/dp/B01CURM5DA?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_sfl_title_3&smid=A1UYDUGEPHG5UH ideally id like to get this cover on and find some foot peg mounts for it.. but i take it too and from work every day so as you said before Frankenmech the footrest are a bitch to get on and off!!! so if it dont fit ill be stuck wrestling with it hahah. i love the engine on my bike though.. it runs awesome there are a few obvious tweaks and tuning i need to do but im scared to mess it up and not be able to get to work lol. if there is a video on exactly how to tune your scoot let me know.. for right now im just going to focus on changing the handle bars, once i figure out exactly what i need to do for the seat cover ill start. and you send me a pic of what your icebear looks like with the mod you did?

FYI- There is a button above a post that allows your post to be edited. It is right between the quote and like buttons on your own posts. BTW, my clone is not an icebear. I purchased it from scooter depot. I think they went out of business. There is a link to a lot of the mods I have made in my sig but some people can not see sigs so here it is: 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/7806I will have to check and see if the stock tank cover mod is in there. It is real simple like I mentioned above. With the cover split it makes removal a breeze. EDIT- The tank cover mod is not covered in the above modifications thread. There is also info on my carb mods and intake pod filter in that thread. I bought a 'performance tuned' carb, not a stock tune carb. Then modified it with the bowl vent to the airhorn like a normal car type carb so it was not sensitive to filter restrictions. I added a aux jet so I could easily tune for seasonal temperature changes. The setup has worked well. Pod type air filters come with various outlet sizes to fit your carb intake OD. Some have a full size passage through the rubber ring into the air filter. Others have a reduced size hole through the ring into the filter. Some sellers avoid showing a picture of the interior of the pod. Others show the hole size and even advertise as a full size passage. Whatever you do, buy a good Gates hose clamp for your filter from the auto parts store.
