Now I am convinced it's the head because the plug only has oil right on the very tip of the spark plug itself where it's directly under the valve instead of all up inside the chamber and all over the plug as well. it is only on one side of the plug in the chamber.... so would you all agree it's probably the head and not go past the Rings all over the plug?

Nope!Once the head is off,the cylinder just slips off!Pull the whole top end, measure all the parts, replace whats worn out.. OR you could buy some Engine Restore ,pour it in and have a new engine,,,the choice is yours!!

^^^^^^^HAHAHAHAAAA!!! Snake oil. I did find one product that helped raise the compression a little on the Helix. Rislone Compression Restore.
The only reason I know it worked, is because I was trying to prove it didn't. Did a comp test with a full crank case of fresh oil, then drained a a bit over half of it, and added the snake oil, and did another test. It did help a bit.
Anyway, as long as the head is off, check the cylinder, swap the rings, reseat the valves, and deck the head and jug. Why do a half added job, that will need to be done right real soon anyway?

Looks like I'll be building TWO of these. I picked up a 2 stroke PW80 tonight that needs rings. The piston, rings, headgasket, and roller is only $13 on ebay from various sellers. Can't beat that! Now I have 2 two strokes in the house and this one goes like a stabbed rat. Faster than the 125 on youtube.

Ahhh never mind. The wrist pin is sticking. That was what was doing it. I'm having a hard time getting it out. Trying Not to hurt the connecting rod but that sucker is stuck.

Suggestions welcome. I'm scared I'm gonna screw the crank side of the con rod up tapping the wrist pin. It's wedged pretty good. The piston is sticking in position as if the wrist pin expanded

Go to the auto parts store and get yourself a wrist pin puller.

First put a rag in the case around the rod so nothing falls in!

Everything is great now I picked up a piston and rings and handle grips and some new oil and a new air filter and various other things but I'm having an issue with one of my new parts. I just picked up a Mikuni carburetor and installed it and it's cutting out over half throttle so I have 5 c clip settings on the needle, should I go up or down and should I try going 2 clips away or just one because it is before the half throttle Mark when it starts to cut out so it's off a pretty good bit.

FYI, I tried every position of the notches and it never stopped cutting out from halfway up. When the clip was in the bottom position it started missing from idle to 1/4 throttle and was stuttering. When I put it in the top position of the needle it ran great, but still won't go past 1/2 throttle. It starts stuttering and cutting out. If didn't back off and I held the throttle it would just die most likely. It loses everything once it cuts out.
