Please ride safe and gear up kids. We all gonna crash sometime.
My time came yesterday running the twisties with my new ride. Don't know how or why. Mostly remember the ambulance ride and my wife's worried face.
Lot's of "jacket rash" and sore muscles. Full face helmet is trashed instead of my head and jaw. Riding jacket only has a 2 inch rip.
Havent seen the bike yet. Headed to track it down today.
Be safe & ride on!

Aw man. Glad you're at least ok. Hopefully the bike wasn't damaged too badly. As for the helmet... better it be a few hundred $ helmet than your face!

OH MAN, Tim I am so glad to see you able to tell us about this ordeal... Very grateful that your ok....(for the most part) Absolutely, a helmet can be replaced. Makes me worry about myself cause i am always not "prepared" for riding gear..Did wear leather on the h.d, but of course i kept the beenie helmet, use it daily on the scoot.. BEing "prepared" is a GREAT thing. Quicker than the blink of an eye, it can happen
AMEN brother... NOT IF...BUT...WHEN!!!! If you never laid one down, then you don't ride.....
On a lighter side, i hope your video equip. wasnt on the bike at that time.... Now THERE is a video for you... :scared: Thankfully you are alright.. :thumb:

I hope the cam was on the bike, but nothing was damaged. I always wished I had my crashes on film. Would be interesting to see them from another perspective and without the injuries.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Update. It took all day while my buddy Vince drove me around but we finally: 1, Found the scene where we tried to figure out what happened. I'm still not 100% sure. 2, Found the trooper who worked the scene and talked to him. He was cool and didn't hassle me. 3, found the bike at the towing co. That cost me $250 + $35 a day for storage till i can pick it up. Ouch. Bike is in good shape. All the upfront electronics, Lights, speedo etc are gone. The tale is trashed and the tank is well dented. But the motor and those hot Vance & Hines pipes are not touched. Now the graphic... Lid Head Bike front Tale Crazy how the Mustang seat doesn't have a scratch. I was blessed for sure.

Sorry for your misfortune Tim. I,m glad you are going to be okay. From the looks of the bike it must have been pretty violent. Must have rung your bell pretty good for you to have no memory of it. Get well soon!
PS: I think you may be blessed too. Can you send me some Lotto numbers to play? ;D

Glad your ok man. I was just riding today thinking how easy it would be to take a corner wrong or hit some sand. Bikes are fixable

Glad to hear you are ok. The most common thing, we don't know exactly what made us go down. But we try not to do it again Well, you still have a spare ride til the new bike gets back in shape. From the looks of that noggin we're all glad you had the helmet on. Feel better.

Thanks again guys. I'm supposed to be on a trip right now but just not up to it. The paperwork the doctor gave me says it will take a week to get over the head trauma symptoms. I believe it.
Won't be riding for a bit either. My balance is very iffy...
