Hey! So I brought another new-used scoot. This time it is 4-stroke, Baotian BT50QT-9 (year 2006). I love the sound. But there is a little problem - I need to change some plastic parts and when I give it a little gas, then comes a vibration to the frame. On the pictures, there is a old taillight and plastic gas tank cover. I replaced these parts, also I brought the TTO tach-Hour digital gauge. I was on the CN-PARTS shop, when I noticed, that horn is not working. I looked under the hood - THERE WAS NO HORN Brought a new horn - Now is that OK too. Tomorrow TO-DO list: 1. Look over plastic panels and see, what I can fix. 2. Change the CDI - if I knew Where the 4-Stroke Motorforce CDI is 3. The carb and airfilter must be checked. Some pics:

Congrats on the new ride. Might wanna check the engine mount and shock mount bushings since you say there's a lot of vibration.

The vibration is for short time - about 5 second after I gave little bit gas. First I tought That it is the 49cc cylinder, but I will check it tomorrow, because it is dark outside right now

It could also be clutch/CVT related.

OK, I will check few things tomorrow. I hope it is not the CVT issue, I can´t buy more stuff, because I´m broke, after buying that scoot + accessories

Under the hood: My stock Carb: I found out, that the last owner has opened the carb top cover, because the screws had marks. I noticed, that this scoot has the same fuel system, like my last scoot had, so I need to change the gas tank near future and then also I will put new fuel lines, fuel filter and manual valve. I placed the TTO Tach/Hour-meter to better place, so I can monitor the engine rpm, while I´m driving. Under the front hood: brand new horn, the original horn was missing or someone took it out ? I do not know. But now is horn again working fine and loud. I replaced the gas tank plastic cover for the black one, that I brought. Tomorrow I will maybe fix the plastic panels, what needs. Also I will make new screw in places for some of the plastic panels. I found one hose with this. There must be something or not? This hose goes to airbox. On the carb there was a loose hose - is this the fuel training hose? Also I looked under the CVT cover and did not make a picture, but belt was (669 x 18 x 30). I need to check it over and make a picture. The width was 16. I did not check the wariator and clutch, because I do not gave right tools to do it.

You should replace the belt, as it's at it's service limit.
Most don't have a long hose going to the airbox's inlet. What's on the other end of yours?

It is on the second hose pic - Other end has the airbox. Maybe I could close that little hole on the hose, for better airflow from front? What belt should I use: The original size: 669 x 18 x 30 - GY6,139QMB (10" Wheel) or should I go for: 788 x 17 x 28 139QMB (12"-13" wheel)

I think a lot of the small wheel scoots do.

Most scooters like yours would use a 669 18 30.

Today I wanted to fix some of the plastic parts, but the weather was like it is going to rain - it did. So I went to a little ride to buy new drive belt (669 x 18 x 30) just in case. I made some pics before I wanted to change the belt. When I was at the shop, I will change it here, but the rain came - little bit. At least I got to clean my rear view mirrors Some pics at the shop: CVT (10") Drive belt size (10"): When I came back home and placed my scoot under rain cover. Then came the hard rain - I was lucky.

Hey 90GTVert I was wondering Can I change the drive belt on my scoot, without removing the clutch or not?

You need to remove one or the other of the pulleys. Some people claim they can do it by just squeezing the rear pulley and getting the belt all the way in the center of it, then pulling the belt over the front pulley. Does not work for me on this engine, but try if you'd like.

Looks to me like the starter gear would be in the way if it where me I'd take the vari off
