Today I made a spring service to my scoot. 1. Painted the flamepipe black 2. Changed the oil 3. swaped the fuelfilter and one leaking hose. I took the oil plug from the engine off, to let the old engine oil out. Suprise was, that there was no oil in the engine Then I placed the plug back and placed new 10W40 4T oil to the engine. After a first two rides on this spring, I noticed a blue smoke from exhaust. So I think, that my scoot is drinking and burning midnight oil Before I did put my scoot to winter beauty-sleep (last year - 2018), I did not check the engine oil level.

Well, today I think I had a engine failure on my scoot: I tought that maybe the problem is related to carb or worst case with cylinder. Power went slowly don, then came back and again went away....then the engine died and did not start anymore. Hey, 90GTVert ,what could be the problem?

Start with the basic stuff. Got gas in the tank? Does it have spark? Is fuel getting to the engine or will it start if you introduce fuel (starting fluid, carb cleaner, drops of gas)?

I know, that there is gas on the fuel tank, I swaped the fuelfilter, cleaned carb (mainjet vas ok, but the secondary jet was blocked. Also I checked spark and the sparkplug vas like that. Charged the battery, and put the new oil to engine. Still won´t start. T think, maybe the sparkplug is old or cdi-unit is bad.

It´s running, but runs bad .... I think I have to buy a new carb or the thingy, where is the carb needle trough. I took old gas from my Vaz 2105 fuel tank and put it on my scoot. I assume, that the tank of the car vas not clean and the junk got to my scoot´s carb - then it clogged up.

Got my ordered parts today, but I ordered wrong belt. The Polini Minarelli Kevlar short belt was wrong (longer, than 699). So, I had a spare belt, with the paper box, from previous Polini belt, what was the right one. I took the part code from there and ordered the right belt this time. The second thing, that I brought, was the CYLINDER SET With HEAD Assembly 80 CCM 4T (47mm 72cc - GY6 139QMB QMA), because my engine is drinking oil good. I thing the rings are bad. The 50cc/49cc engine is rated for 45 km/h, but this engine is without restrictions, so it is going about 70-75 km/h. But the problem is, when I got to drive uphill, then the speed drops to 50. right now, the engine is working so bad .... But soon, mu scoot will be ok again. From my good and big brother Google, who knows everything, I found some info about that cylinder kit: Tuning Cylinder 72cc for all GY6 / Kymco 50cc 4-stroke models with 139QMB/QMA engine. The perfect choice if you want to upgrade your 50cc stock engine for small money. The cylinder is not meant for extremely high rpms, it shines at the lower rpm range. It provides constant and very good acceleration even just above idle speed without put excessive load on the engine with unnecessarily high engine speeds. The cylinder comes with piston and gaskets. The cylinder head is not included, please use the original one. You can keep using the original carburetor but it will require adjusting the main jet. A 47mm bore means that displacement is 72cc. These 47mm kits are often sold as 80cc cylinders because that's how they are sold in Asia. By the way, 47mm cylinders are actually the cylinders QMB/QMA engines were equipped with originally. It was only to be able to sell vehicles that comply to European driving license regulations that Asian manufacturers started equipping their scooters with 39mm cylinders / 49cc.I swaped these parts: 1. New Carburetor Naraku V.2 50-90ccm 4-Stroke (New, raised the needle by 1 groove) 2. New CDI unit with one 6-pin plug without restriction from Naraku - Baotian 3. New Spark Plug NGK C7HSA After that, there was no change, the engine wanted to start, but did not. I hope, when I get the cylinder kit (full), then the engine will start.

Hey, 90GTVert . I got scoot working again, It took some time, but I tuned the new carb little bit and the fresh fuel, new spark plug. I´m Happy right now. I will still swap the cylinder kit from 49cc to 72cc and the head assembly, that comes with that 72cc kit. Then will be the brake in period and then I will make a new GPS speed test.

I got a gift, form a family friend - a new/used luggage box for my scoot. It did not have a key to a lock and the fixing points to a luggage rack, did not line up fine. So I did Macgyver it to his place , with 4xM8 and 2xM12 by 50mm bolts. Lock is replaced with 1x M12 by 50mm bolt washer and nut.

Yesterday, I received a white box. In that box, was the 72cc Cylinder Kit After that, I went to Garage and swapped the old 50cc cylinder kit, that had maybe burnt oil ring or valve seals (don´t know, what went wrong), to a brand new 72cc cylinder kit, with bigger valves. I did not have a tool to compress the valve spring. Well I had, but that was for my Lada 21053, so I couldn't use it. Luckly, my garage naber´s, who are motorbike guys came and I asked for little help. With extra 2 hands, we did successfully put the cylinder head together, with valves, seals and springs. After that, I worked by myself. Got the scoot working again. For the Valve adjustment, I forgot the number, that the gap had to be. So, I opened the Youtube, on my phone and watched the 90GTVert `s video, How to adjust the valves. Of Course, I had the adjustment tool, that only had .004 feeler gauge. So I did adjust both with that. Then I did but the exhaust back on the scoot, closed the cylinder head and started the scoot. I did not have the new gasket th the exhaust, so the scoot sounded, like lawnmower and fire was coming out of the exhaust. I tought, when I saw the flames, that - Awesome I wave a scoot/barbecue grill in 2in1). Today, I got the new gasket and the exhaust bolts and nuts. These got today swapped. No mose grilling while riding Now, the scoot scares the poop out of me . I used to ride, with low power or engine, with issues. Now, I´m afraid to go from stop, with WOT. I went, with half throttle and noticed, that the front shocks where rising up little bit, but no wheelie. So, with this 72cc upgrade, I start riding with caution. Some pics, before cylinder kit swap:
