Here's a comment from just yesterday. This is the kind of thing that makes YouTube much less fun for me at times...
"I dont get it i have watched video after video of you moding your scooter and it still does 38....lmfao!! a 44 dollar BBK and a keihin carb and the shit will do 55+++ for under 70 dollars and less then 1.5 hrs work"
I replied and affirmed for him that he doesn't get it. In 10 years of scooter forums, I still haven't managed to develop enough of a no-care attitude to not have to stop myself from telling these fellas to bring their scoot over anytime and join me for a ride on a real 55MPH scoot. Sounds too much like the whole internet tough guy shtick, so I keep it to myself. I'll probably have a stroke one day from the stress and disappointment of never getting to show them how wrong they are.
If he could get install time down, that YT guy would have a nice sales pitch though :
In just 66 minutes, I'll have your scooter doing 55MPH for 44 dollars. 33 times more effective than a CDI. 22 dollars less than a set of roller weights. 11 ladies will ask for a ride daily when you have this much power between your legs. What are you waiting for? It's time to have 00 regrets and call today to schedule your new life as a badass. 1-122-334-4556

Anytime you want to lose to a 4T...badly....just let me know My 2T gets bad gas mileage, so you'll have to ride over here on your 4T. The Aerox with stage 6 racing, pro pipe and 21mm carb got worse gas milage than my GSXR750! But was way more fun.

It sureliked to wheelie more! Bit too much for the street really. I put it in for an MOT once (annual vehicle inspection) and the mechanic told me "it's a noisy little bugger." Lol

So many times when I'm reading Craigslist ads I wish there was a way to leave a comment for the folks who are writing the ad. I would especially love to comment on ads that read "49cc Tao Tao scooter. Super Fast. Orange Performance coil, racing CDI, and racing filter. Easily goes 70mph" "Whaatt!!?? C'mon people! Really?? When cars are still passing you in a 45mph zone that should be at least a little hint that you ARE NOT GOING 70MPH!!" lol. Just today I was stuck behind a semi truck after the light turned green and there was a late model 150cc scoot in the right lane next to me. As my speedo (in my work truck) crept just over 50mph I was steadily pulling away from him. I bet he still thought his speedo was accurate and he's doing 65mph lol.

I used to work with a guy who had a Chinese 125 scooter. He told me it did 80mph! When I looked it was kmh out miles. My Jog RR was faster with a sports pipe and variator when we went for a ride

All of this talk about engine size makes me want to see if I have a 49cc or a 63cc. The year my taotao was made (early 2012) there was a suspicion/possibility of a "secret 63cc" engine being shipped on occasion. My scoot will do, and I have verified with GPS, phone speedo, and my friend in a car behind me, 45 MPH on a flat with no wind. How? I have no clue and I've never been able to do a video due to lack of equipment. My scoot is mostly stock. I use an open air filter, an 18mm cvk keihin carb, and a drilled exhaust. I run 93 octane with 1 ounce of stp octane booster per tank (1 gallon). I stopped riding my scoot because of lack of registration. But believe you me when I get this sucker up and running again I will show y'all some proof.

The stickers are a better performance upgrade than the BBK, they do not stress the crankshaft, and they are a lot less money too. 4 out of 5 scooter racers prefer these stickers...the other guy is an idiot.

I want a black license plate to put this sticker on. Or better yet a Black plate with "49ccscoot" in Red to match my scoot. But it looks to me that -->BRENT<-- is just a Stickler, and only does stick'es but no plate Black license plate ? Bought 5 stick-on's --but need a black-out license plate to put them on (or there going on the walmart bikecyc with a flat tire untell farther notice!

I am sure if you check around you will find some. Heck, should be even cheaper being plastic. Or, you could make a plastic one pretty easy I would think. Bill
