Thought I'd run the numbers Lucass posted in the pipe section since weve got one bolted on a project,, Total length equates to 11,700 RPM,headpipe % factor is off a good bit, from ideal, but it looks decent to the belly % ratio,,As always if there is any packing or screens inside,no accurate calculations can be made!!

Thanks 190mech, I was able to measure today and it is close to the Metrakit but not an exact match. I did decoke it with a heat gun and it seems like the silencer is the only packing. I'll go ahead and try it tomorrow and see what it does for me. I'm guessing that I'll need to up jet 10% on the main. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

Got our Predator on the road finally. It's faster off the line than both my TGB and my friend's Buddy already. All three bikes are set up with Malossi iron 47mm kits. Derbi is LC of course.
Has more top end than my TGB, but that doesn't take much as the TGB is still stock gears.
I know it's still lacking but I'm going to get it broke in some more before getting serious on tuning.

Malossi iron 47mm kit (65cc?), Leo Vince ZX pipe, clone PHBM 17.5mm carb, 110? jet, some cheapo pod air cleaner, stock variator, 4.5g weights, Malossi Delta clutch, red contra spring, red clutch springs at the weakest position. Tops at at 49 mph right now, doesn't feel like it has much take off when you're riding it but it leaves my TGB behind and the TGB feels brutal when you're on it.

it's sounding like a beast. I hope to have the pipe on mine soon. My jet with the stock pipe is 72 with a 19mm phbg. I'll see where I end up with the expansion pipe. The stock variation is pretty good, I only saw a little better performance with the Multivar that went south on me. maybe with a new one I'll get what I want.

I'm thinking that we are way rich on ours, but I'm waiting to try to dial the carb in tighter. I also want to adjust the clutch to grab a bit harder. It's got adjustable weights that I also installed at their weakest setting. It seems to slip a little too much off the line.
Thing is still easily the fastest "moped", lol, I've ever ridden.
Damn does it love corners.
Hit something loose going to work today and slipped the front wheel sideways about a foot laying into a corner. Bike stayed solid and didn't snatch or try to drop, just followed the line I had set.
I panic stopped due to a car pulling out in front of me on the way home from work tonight. Started sliding but didn't let off the brakes as the bike was still standing clean upright, tracked perfectly even with the back wheel loose.
Maybe I need to slow down some? Bwahahahahaha

I love the ride on mine, though you sit upright it feels perfect for me. I've been cautious on the 16 year old Michelin Boppers. They don't show any cracks in the sidewalls but at 16 years old they are ready to be replaced. I want to get it running well before I do much else to it.

I finally got back on this build, work kept me busy then the new shiny object in the garage. So I got the exhaust back together and installed. I upped the MJ to 76 and a W9 jet running all the way lean. I played with jets and notches and settled on that. I think the main needs to bump to 75 maybe I'll get to that tomorrow. here is a video of the new pipe:
I'm waiting for the Canadians to get me my Malossi Multivar so I can finish tuning I saw 9400 RPM today and it was running okay.

The Multivar came yesterday so back to tuning. This carb is kicking my ass tuning it into this pipe. Its 3/4 throttle that's causing me grief. I've tried the needles I have and gone from 76mj down to 72 and back to 74 and its still not there. More fun and games tomorrow. I found this in the Links : Carb, Intake, Fuel System section and thought I would try it, I'll assume it will work for a Dellorto carb. As soon as I have the engine tuned I'll get back on the CVT.

For shits and giggles, if you have a fresh plug, give it a shot.

That's the other thing I was playing with was the 8 and 9 that I have. I will try a fresh one just so I can eliminate that as the problem. Its funny because through this process sometimes the 9 is perfect and sometimes its the 8. If all else fails back to the stock pipe.

What brand belt is on your transmission? The belt mine came with was wore slap out. I bought a Malossi Kevlar belt and doesn't get full variation as it's too narrow. Looking things up the Malossi is 16mm wide, the one Dayco lists for the Predator is 16.8mm wide so we're probably ordering a Dayco Belt.
