Any machine shop should be able to cut the cases for you.

Yeah. All I've ever really worked with are Chinese clones. For a short case clone engine, you could get a youth ATV version in 90cc form and I'd assume the crank and cylinder should fit without cutting, though you'd still have to port it however you like. That may be tough for you to find, but they're on eBay in the US. You asked about short cases with disc brakes earlier. That part I have no clue about, sorry.

birdmanThank you! Does that fit a large crank without grinding? (77mm) Because it doesn't have much meat left around it.

Thank you for checking 190mech ! ...and you need those cases? Yesterday I wrote scooter-attack an e-mail to ask them for more info regarding the MXS GP2 kit and they said they installed that kit into Derbi, AM6 and Minarelli engines without problems. The Aerox engine has enough meat around they said to grind and fit that crank. So I take their word for it and would like to get some Aerox cases with Front/Rear disc setup and/or some Minarelli clones just in case. As soon I get the $$$ ready I will open a new thread in the "Wanted" section of the forum unless I get something earlier of course. I asked them if they have some online documentation regarding the MXS kit like install manuals but unfortunately they don't. Apparently there is a company that does engine grinding/milling. I'll drop them a message and ask how much they would charge. www.facebook.com/MRZpwr/

You might be the first guy in the 90mph club with this setup and the right gearing. Looking forward to this one!

I helped Robert(2strokd) with an Aprillia SR50(Mina)street race build a while back,it used what appeared to be Yamaha style cases,,quite thin compared to 'chinarelli' stuff..There was no way the cases would support a 90+cc crank diameter,so I cut the crank wheels down to 74mm,it all went OK from there..However this was a mild build!Rule of race thumb is we need 1/2 of crank pin diameter(90 stuff uses 18mm pins)crank wheel meat on the outside of the big end pin hole(9mm)..Soo,if we have a 44mm stroke,18mm big end pin,9mm margin,+ radius=80mm OD crank wheels,,,so we are already under the ideal race crank dimensions with a 77mm crank! The ideal case ID is 1mm clearance(all around) to keep viscous drag down,,soo we'll need a minimum case ID of 79mm...Hope this make since..

Wow, you sure are good with numbers. I just woke up and haven't finished my first coffee yet. But as soon my few brain cells start spark again I'll go over those numbers again.
Are you willing to part from your cases?

The MXS kit description says a 30mm carb should be used, recommended is a 38mm so I ask scooter-attack if it is necessary to use such large carbs or could I use a Keihin 28mm PE or PWK and they said it is not necessary and the 28mm would be OK but a larger carb would give me more power though.

Here's how thin an Aerox motor got with a Polini 94, which is the same crank you said Tsimi?
