Lucass2T What about Heidenau K80SR tires? Do you have any experience with them? I'm running the older K61 Racer on my 140, really impressed with them... ...in the dry. Sold a pair of the K80SR to a guy with a tickled Suzuki Street Magic, last I heard he was very happy with them.

Few days ago I woke her up and took her for a spin. All was good but then the weather changed and it got cold again and it is raining often right now so I put her back to sleep for now. Meanwhile I am following Lucas's advice and...I did order a new Aerox YQ50 triple tree for it. Just need to wait until it arrives so I can see what fork tubes I'm gonna need. The triple tree was super cheap like $36 plus $40 for shipping. Imagine shipping is more expensive then the item. lol

Just found a set of fork tubes. 30mm fork tubes or stems how some call them.
Just need to confirm with the triple tree seller if they fit in there or not. But they most likely will fit. (fingerscrossed) Also was able to source a Brembo caliper.
When finished it should look exactly same as my fork assembly on the Prebug.

Just got reply from the triple tree seller, which is btw. the same guy that sold me the Prebug Aerox fork assy. He says the holes are 27mm which is a bit confusing since all the info I find in the web points to 30mm fork tubes. He might confuse the shaft OD with the fork holes ID? The shaft should be 27mm and around 34cm long. The triple tree that I bought has this part number: 5PE-F3340-00 And according to the Yamaha parts list I need a 5BR-F3126-00 and 5BR-F3136-00 fork leg/stem. Which is what it looks like to be the Paioli forks the same I use on my Prebug which again are 30mm. I guess I'll wait with the fork tubes till I get the triple tree in my hands to confirm personally. Here a simple diagram of said triple tree

So while I wait till the triple tree arrives, approx. first week March, I am looking for matching fork tubes. There is a ebay seller from the Netherlands which sells the Paioli forks but absolutely doesn't communicate and won't reply to any questions thus far. So that is a no go.
However I found forks for an Aerox NS50 which look a bit different but according to the sellers dimensions they are exactly the same in length and width as the Paioli one's. The only downside there is shipping cost. 50 GBP for the forks and 60 GBP for shipping which is a real pain to my wallet.
Right now I need to wait for that triple tree to confirm if it takes 27 or 30mm fork tubes. Meanwhile I am staying in contact with the fork tubes seller and trying to get him to drop the price on those forks a bit.
Stay tuned for more...

I think it was 2003 the fork diameter changed. If it's the later triple trees I believe the NS 50 forks should fit. The 2013 make over was more of a styling exercise than a chassis update.

Got my triple tree today and I was relieved to see that it takes 30mm forks. $36 bucks for a brand new genuine Yamaha triple tree. Lucky! So next up are the fork tubes.

Progress is very slow. I had and still have some financial issues at the moment and scooter stuff doesn't have much priority.
However I did order a few parts yesterday that I need for the fork swap.
Just few days ago I took the cover of the scoot after 6+ months and checked if she would fire up and she did after 3 kicks. So engine wise she's still good.

Your welcome. Still probably not even yet 😆. That aught to look real good with those forks. We should be seeing this beast in action anytime soon

tsimi you posted a pic of a scooter shop with a 2 stroke jog hanging from the ceiling in another thread. What was the name of the shop and where was it? Im going to osaka and tokyo late oct to nov. Last year I could only find parts for my Honda super dio zx at upgarage riders. Im looking for other shops to vist. BTW your jogs are awsome!

The shop with the hanging Jog was 2輪館 (ni rinkan or 2 rinkan). However that particular shop closed down almost 2 years ago. There are other 2 Rinkan shops which might still have 2T parts but they are not in the used parts business. Not sure what happened to that hanging Jog though. Probably moved to another store?
