Looks good Geek! Did you do any JBweld on the backside? When I trenched mine I busted through in about 3-4 spots. I was also worried that I removed too much around one of my cylinder studs but it held for tons of miles with no issues. Great to see another 90+ build!

Oh yeah lots of JB weld in the backs of the cases, a couple of spots are cut through to it.

I have a 45mm stroke crank with the orange plastic inserts I would like to use on this build. I put the crank on the V blocks to give it a look, and found it to be a little caddywoumpass, so I will try my hand at crank truing now I guess.
My cylinder choices are a 54mm standard height with the 2 small extra exhaust ports (used from the shortcase build) or a 52mm tall cylinder with a single exhaust port. I would love to give one of the autotech aluminium 54mm cylinders a whirl, but my scooter parts budget is zip at the moment.
The exhaust will be a tecnigas RSII that 190mech has said should make a good 90+ pipe.

Probably have a lot less headache with the squish by using the shorter cylinder...imho!

Nice progress!Cases came out well,,is the 45 stroke crank new or used? Most of the Taiwan cranks Ive measured were dead nuts true...

That RSII pipe is originally designed as a 50-70, but works well on a 90cc+ motor? Or did you find one specificly designed for 90cc+ motor?
Because i have one of those laying around + a jog 80cc jug which i want to use someday. Should make a nice build right?

OG posted the pipe dimensions a while back and when I calculated it the numbers looked like it was a good try for a 90+cc motor, the 90 pipes are very few....

I wouldn't make my decision till I had the crank in so I could get a degree wheel on and check squish and port positions. Being able to set it up right will make more difference than 52mm vs 54mm bore most likely, so if the 52 looks good don't be discouraged from using it. If you wanna figure it out before the crank is installed, a set of dummy bearings will work.

I think parts for scooters has the same one now. If you wanna figure it out before the crank is installed, a set of dummy bearings will work. Yup, that is pretty much how I was looking at it. I can't wait to see how everything sets up. I made a pair of dummy slip fit bearings a good while back, they make things so much easier. I am on the fence about polishing the crank journals for a slip fit this time, I might polish the bearings for a slip fit instead or just leave them alone.

As you can see, it is huge.
