Pretty slick. That should really tell you something about how they operate. Rather than just please a customer and take the thing back with a full refund to you (if they think it's the shipper, that's their problem) they just change names to avoid the bad press. Most likely if you keep updating their name changes they'll just wait till you forget about it and change it again if it bugs them that much.

ones ebay id can only be changed once every 90 days so 3 months from now i will just update it again, unless i get the full refund they now claim they are going to give me once the bike gets back to their wharehouse.

If I were you I'd send them a link to this thread and see if they change their tune. This forum may not have as many members as some other clubs but you can bet it gets a lot of views from non-members. It might influence them to know that there's a ton of potential buyers that are onto them and then again maybe they could care less but it couldn't hurt to at least let them know that their practices are being exposed.

OH! okay. I missed that first read through. ( I was kinda skimming) Well at least you will get all your money back. Still, those fuckers sent you through a big hassle you could have done without. It's a buyer beware world we live in. In the world of Chinese import resale there is a small profit margin and the economy being as bad as it is it's no wonder that they didn't want to absorb the cost but that was WAAAY out of line what they tried to get away with.
Your troubles were not in vain however because this thread will live on and on. They will either get their shit together or they'll fade into oblivion... It's how the universe works.
If they have any balls they would post here that they were wrong and that it'll never happen again etc... That might polish the turd a little LOL

Today, the bike still sits at the trucking company wharehouse. They have received no information about sending it back from Goldenvale. So Email Goldenvale and they say its in transit. thats an obvious lie.
Time to put a unauthorized transaction claim in with Master Card.

Ok I found out who "Hollywoods Cycles" really is, this guy is a Roketa dealer, BEWARE: Hollywoods Inc. Bryan Chavis 2408 Whiskey Road Aiken, SC 29803 1-888-643-3070 Additional Information BBB file opened: 08/17/2006 Business started: 11/15/2002 Contact Information Primary Contact: Mr. Bryan Chavis (President/Owner) Complaint Contact: Mrs. Robin Mitchell (Secretary/Treasurer) Number of Employees 4 Business Category Motorcycles - Dealers Products & Services This company offers motorcycle sales/service. hollywoodsinc.com/www.hollywoodsinc.com/products.htmlwww.hollywoodscycles.us/main.scstores.ebay.com/hollywoodsinc (now "motodealerimports") Mr. Bryan Chavis I presume?: Is that hair real? It is becoming apparent to me that roketa.com might not be instigating this. I believe it is entirely the doing of the outfit above. I think they wanted to charge me for the return shipping AND put a damage claim in with the trucking company to try and get money from them too, pretty dishonest way to do business if this is infact their intention. If I dont get satisfaction, I will let my lawyer handle it: K. Gregory Gunter Law Office of K. Gregory Gunter 4940-A Windy Hill Dr. Raleigh, NC 27609 Phone: 919-871-0144 Fax: 919-871-0143 I have already advised him of the whole deal, including the link to this post. Gregs favorite this to do is sue people, its like sport to him. He usually wins too. Point is, I am not going to just go away.

Also my bank info says the money was sent to goldenvale in CA. and not hollywoodsinc. Goldenvale said when they get it back, the will send a refund so it appears the decision to issue the refund is not in this dudes hands (i hope). Never the less, avoid this seller.

Compaint to BBB:
Item received was damaged by being picked up with a forklift while not on a pallet, so i refused it and sent it back. Hollywoods said they will take the return shipping fees out of my refund, they admit the damage was done by shipper but still they intend to take the return shipping fees out of my refund.
The damage was caused by the shipping company so that issue is between hollywoods and the shipper, hollywoods needs to file a damage claim with the shipper, I am not responsible for damage caused by the shipper yet they are trying to hold me monetarily responsible.
Problem Date: 5-12-11 Purchase Date: 5-6-11 Model Number: Roketa MC-08-50B moped scooter Payment Amnt: $558 USD Payment Method: call in with master card check card. Sales Rep: Primary Contact: Mr. Bryan Chavis (President/Owner) Complaint Contact: Mrs. Robin Mitchell (Secretary/Treasurer)
