A package arrived today, my order from a scooter parts supplier that is not in the USA. Shipping accidents happen, but a shipment needs to be properly packaged in the first place. A thin crappy cardboard box poorly taped shut with a few air pillows inside for padding is not adequate for the heavy parts I ordered. I am amazed ANY of the parts were still in the box considering its condition. I have a email in to their CS explaining what happened, we will see how they handle it. The order was: 2 mina primary shafts 2 mina intermediate gears 2 mina final output gears/axles 4 mina CVT cover bearings 2 sets of Kymco motor bearings and seals 1 set of 47x1mm piston rings. What made it here: 0 mina primary shafts 2 mina intermediate gears 1 mina final output gear/axle 0 mina CVT cover bearings 2 sets of Kymco motor bearings and seals 1 set of 47x1mm piston rings So I guess the following fell out of one of the 4 major holes in the box: 2 mina primary shafts 1 mina final output gear/axle 4 mina CVT cover bearings

Most of the suppliers I buy from put so much packaging that its hard to find the parts. I have gotten other things that the boxes look like yours. I hope you get the proper resolution.
Edit: Not everyone packs like you. The CVT parts I got from you reminded me of Christmas as a kid opening each part.

I forgot to mention that I have gotten several other orders from the same place, and a couple times the box was also in very poor condition, but miraculously everything made it , until now.

That sucks, I would be pissed. Care to share which vendor it was ? I am going to take a guess it was RP, seeing the Naraku/NTN bearings in the picture.

I want to see how they handle it before I reveal who it was. But it was not RP. I have not wanted or needed anything they have bad enough to wait 3 months for shipping.

That would be the shipper on poor packaging and postal service for not replacing box. I worked at FedEx for 10 years and we always replaced a box so damaged like that one. We also checked the packing slip to make sure everything was still with the package.

Man that is one beat up box there. Wtf did the carrier do with it? Poor box material or not this is not suppose to happen. The only bad experience I had was with scootertuning.ca when they shipped my Yasuni pipe in a smaller, not genuine Yasuni box to probably cut shipping cost? Maybe they realized that shipping to Japan is more expensive than they calculated. Anyways, when I received the pipe the bracket that holds the silencer was pocking out of the box and looks like was grinded on a bit probably when loading/unloading the box. Not as terrible as your case here but the shop and carriers should be more careful with stuff like this especially when you send stuff to the other side of the world. Is this ebay stuff? You should mention the seller to save others from the same trouble. If we know who it was we can write a comment with the order. For example; "please use proper packaging"

Just a slightly better box would have prevented all of this. I was not home when DHL delivered the package, or you can be sure I would have ripped them a new one. 24 hours have passed and the only reply from the seller was an automated "ticket generated" response.

I work as a sec. officer and work alot with the UPS and FED'x guy's and gals.. Not one of the many would have left a package in that type of shape.. NOT ONE! of them-- But not every distro has responsible employees. Never mind---DHL

Here is what a package is supposed to look when it arrives. This arrived today from Treatland. The guys at Treatland are pretty funny sometimes. In one of my first orders with them several years ago I wrote in the order comments section "I like stuff send me stuff". When the order arrived all my parts were there along with a ceramic donkey and a picture of a lady from some kind of box or something. The ceramic donkey got broke during shipping as they didnt wrap it (its the thought that counts right?)Lol! Any how this time they sent me some motul hand cleaner and this used, slightly greasy tshirt. Orange is my favorite color, but damm glad it does not fit me!

You would think we a delivery driver there is no way I would want to deliver a package in that condition. Although it was not packaged properly you think once the courier realised it was damaged they would repack it. Poor service from both parties

Any news on the situation? As of this moment, nothing. I will likely try to phone them sometime next week. A friend of mine that lived in Germany told me most every company there has someone that can speak english, it's kind of a status symbol to be able to speak english.
