I've managed to lose about 187 pounds (if Google's conversion is correct, 85kg and counting) through mainly diet and walking. Really need to start hitting the gym now, am struggling to drop the last 10kg and build some muscle. /Mowing multiple lawns everyday is a decent workout haha
Amazing, Raizer! Wow. Yes, gym will definitely will help more

Diet is the important part. Every pound of us passed through our mouth. It is really tough to burn calories with exercise. Exercise builds strength and stamina which is important to make us feel like moving around. Metformin is what nearly killed me. I was essentially dead in 2015 after taking it for about 10 years. Metformin was a slow poison that had similar effects to Chemotherapy. My mind was a fog, I had no strength or stamina. Walking a few feet carrying a trash bag would overwhelm me with nausea, then I would vomit and black out. It was HELL. It killed off my rapidly growing cells like hair, skin, and nails. It wiped out my immune system also. Since I have been off the Metformin I am growing hair, even on top of my head, and my nails have been growing back in stronger. Hair that had turned white on my arms and chest is now dark brown like it should be. The hair on my head is turning from white to gray. I was the one that figured out the Metformin was killing me. The doctors didn't have a clue. They would have just and let me die.

Eeeek, that sounds crazy... why did you have to be on that stuff? I've never heard of it...
I want to go to straight to raw veggie eatin'. Any raw veggie and Korean hot sauce paste is golden!

When I cut weight I go on the Keto diet. YouTube it or google it, it works every time. The first week is a bitch, but then it's pretty easy to follow. Essentially you stop eating carbs and replace them with healthy fats. Your body will start using fats for energy instead of carbs/sugars. Once your body starts burning ketones you'll have more energy then you've ever had. It also keeps your mood and general wellbeing better. When your body is burning carbs and sugars your insulin levels are constantly spiking and crashing affecting how you feel. On the keto diet your body has steady energy supply of fats, eliminating the spikes and crashes.

Metformin (or Glucophage) is probably the first medication of choice given to diabetics to try to control their blood sugar. My doctors started me on other oral meds but later added Metformin. My liver and body chemistry precluded Metformin in the first place but they gave it to me later, and shouldn't have. I lost a good part of 10 years of my life to that medication. Medications can be extremely dangerous. Doctor's 'practice' medicine, but they are the best we have so far. If you intend to do any exercise or weight training you will need a balanced diet, -see a dietician and a physician.

PIG keto sounds like something I should look into. I've just limited myself to 1700cal or less a day for the last couple years. Previously a bad day would see me get through 10,000cal or more just for dinner.

I'm sure that I could easily lift 40 lbs. Is that good? Good enough to lift a two stroke engine out. What more do you need?
