Thanks! I truely appreciate the kind words. It’s taken some time to get it to where it is but as the title says it’s my Keeper and I wouldn’t give it up.

It really has been a good runner, yeah I swap cylinders from time to time just to change things up but for the most part it’s been a great scoot. I don’t really have any over the top performance parts but it does really well.

I like art,so from an artist's perspective I appreciate your style. I understand why that is your Keeper. it's your Zen; it's something that when you work on that bike, you devote your whole self to it. it shows.

Had to go back and do the same. I'm so used to seeing it more like it is now that I guess I forgot what a regular Zuma looked like. Well done indeed. Then Now

Thanks fellows, I really do appreciate the comments! No matter what happens in life she’s the girl I can always turn to when I need a smile. that's funny you say that. there were times when my girlfriend would pick me up after work and I would be complaining about work. she'd interrupt me and ask, "does Sareena (my moped) work right now?" I'd tell her, "why does that matter." she would respond, "if Sareena works, when we get home, go grab your helmet, go ride you moped and go find your Smile. you always come back happy after you ride your moped." so true.

Nothing really going on here. Tried to tackle my cvt issues but it’s just too hot for tuning. When cold I can max out around 64 but sometimes it seems to get stuck at 50-52 unless I come to a rest and go again. I’m pretty confident that my contra spring was binding up when hot given the wear marks on the spring. I swapped to a slightly softer spring to see if that solves the issue. I still feel I need a new HiT clutch because mine is very worn but I’ll keep putting that off until I can’t anymore. Once you use one nothing else compares. Otherwise it’s been pretty strong and working well. Here is a video from the other day riding back from a covered bridge in my area.

I got some ride time in tonight with this unusually cool air and she’s running great. I haven’t noticed any binding with the spring, there’s plenty of go to pass on a 4 lane road, I got to scrape the stand in a few turns. Temps are still hanging around 152 coolant, 270 CHT and 1080 egt full out. I could lean a tad but it’s safe and runs well where it’s at. All in all a good ride.

I tried to take a turn knowing damn well I shouldn't have at 45 and my stand grabbed cause I was leaning hard to make it and the ass end got really loose I held it though but my nuts were in my throat after it I was racing a suburu wrx and the ole tgb was hanging with him till he got the straight away and then it was game over, wrx for the win!!! Surprised the polini Corsa cylinder didn't die sooner as hard as I pushed on it

Is it just me or does my gearbox sound pretty noisy. I’ve got straight cut gears which adds to the sound but it seems off throttle noise may be up. I guess it’s time to check the bearings.

They do sound a little noisy. I bought the 15/50 helical cuts from Doppler as you recommended. I’m glad I went with those, ratio will be 12:1 for quicker off the line.I saved the install of them for now while doing the full on rebuild. One thing I did buy was a new bearing from Calamari to go in with the gears as my stock bearing now has 9,000 miles on it. Your issue could possibly be that?
