Make sure to pre-lube your exhaust or you will be asking for dry fumes I was gonna prelube my pipe, right after I adjusted my clutch with my trusty powerband winder

Well after waiting patiently 15 days for my parts... they finally got here 2day Bore kit Just finished puttin the case back together with skeeder's right side everything matched up pretty good Now before I proceed to reassemble... I have a question or 3 1) this was in the package with my rings Is it supposed to go in 1 of the grooves with a ring, if so... which 1 2) when placing ring gaps .... what is reccomended, on a thumper I always make a peace/mercedes sign away from the stroke Is .008 cool for the gaps ? 3) Do I need this anymore since the oil pump is deleted ? I think it was there to hold the grease in that lubed the oil pump Sorry about the noob questions, but I wanna put it together right oh yea... a couple goodies that came with the cyl kit ;D ;D

Sweet ya got it! Thats wanna Auto's kits isnt it? That shoould work Goooood ;D! I dont know what that is? Looks like part of a 4stroke ring lol ...That came with it huh? Not sure about the ring gap off the top of my head. I just put the rings on my piston and went with my first kit . You dont need the plastic oil pump drive gear anymore.

Thanx for the info Yea it's an autotech kit That wavy ring was in the lil baggie with the 2 real rings, looked like part of a 4stroke oil ring to me I guess it was mistakenly put in there I'm gonna put it together tonite if I have time I'll check/set the ring gaps and orient them at 10oclock and 2oclock Maybe I can have the engine hung and fired by the end of the weekend

Yea ez, once I learn em Not much involved with puttin em 2gethr We'll see when I start tunin it The case matched the cyl real good, and when the cases met with your old 1, it was a better match then the 1 I took off Makin a leak testr rite now, so I know it's good before I hang it I think this engine is missing some parts tho...... I can't find the cam or chain , I'll figure sumthin out

Thats a ring expander,it goes under the 2nd ring.If you look the 2nd groove is slightly deeper..

Thats a ring expander,it goes under the 2nd ring.If you look the 2nd groove is slightly deeper.. I checked the piston closely, & both grooves are the same, there was no room for the expander dealio in either groove Been a busy weekend, but I did manage some time to complete the top end (torqued it down to 18 ft/lbs), seal up the oil pump opening & clean the cooling plastics and airbox Added a cf scoop I need to find something to plug this I still need to pick up a gauge for the leak tester I,m making I realize I've been full of questions, and everyones input is greatly appreciated Yet another question..... When I got this engine, someone had cut the mount on each end tryin to put it in a Rukus I have another mount and it appears the keeper clips are offset I think the longer side goes toward the cvt Does anyone know offhand if I'm correct Hopefully next week I can do a leakdown test, and if all is good I can get this thing in the bike

Lookin good ;D! I think you will be happy with your time and money you put into this one . I like the CF scoop you put on there. Im gonna play around with different scoop ideas when i get a cylinder head temp gauge. The longer end of the mount should be on the flywheel side . I forgot to note that when i took my motor apart and stood scratching my head for a min. lol ....
